popcornplaya
I took the Rock Band guitar out of the box tonight because I picked up Rock Band2 for the PS3. It's been a few months since I've played Rock Band, so I figured it'd be as I left it. Boy was I wrong. I get the guitar out and the strum "button" was broke. Well, not broke, but it wasn't right. It was cocked in to one side. I took it apart and the metal cup that is on the end of the plastic "button" shaped tip where it clicks into place in the cradle was broken off. I have super glued it along with putting some epoxy inside the cup and am currently awaiting it's drying. I would put a screw in it, but I don't know where I'd find one small enough. I always store the guitar in the box and have never had an issue. Nothing heavy has been on it, so I don't know how it could've happened. Upon taking it apart, it is very cheaply made. Anyone know of a good 3rd party guitar for the PS3? If this doesn't work, I'm buying one.

popcornplaya
If you go to Rock Band's website they will replace it for free.Where?EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. You have to be within 60-days of original purchase and you also have to have a receipt. I got it as a gift, so I asked them if there was anything that could be done since I don't have a receipt. I'm doubting anything can be done. That said, hopefully I get lucky.

I didn't have to enter even a serial number. I just went though the steps and I know I replaced my drum pedal well after 60 days, and probably my guitar too.http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/e...er/rockband.php
dan9124
yeah, my strum bar broke within a week of getting the thing. it stopped registering most of the up strums for right handed players and down strums for left handed. since I'm left handed it kinda sucked. I didn't wanna bother with sending it in so I just learned to play by just up strumming the whole time...that said, I haven't played rock band in forever and have spent way too much money on that crappy equipment and all those downloadable songs...and I still have those stupid drums just sitting there, taking up space and looking generally unattractive...should probably do something with those.. Headshot
I could never play Guitar Hero or Rock Band, felt incredibly gay holding that fisher price guitar as a 22 year old.

popcornplaya
Got a new guitar for $15, the Fender Strat model. I'm still ordering a TAC Widow Maker though.
