falconsunite
brooking is awful. These fans would support ryan leaf, and condemn you for not supporting him.
nobkowski
i don't really care what your link says. Wire replaced Boley.yeah, and he will go in for Brooking also, if Keith gets hurt. Wire is better than Nicholas.

Voice of Reason
I'm not jealous of what Brooking makes- i'm a capitalistGreat quote! LOL. I didn't say you were jealous. I said it "sounds" like jealousy. Again, his play is declining. I'm sure everyone here can agree with this statement. However, to suggest player X would be better, then to support your statement you bring up Brooking's pay, it just doesn't make sense unless Brooking was hurting us this year with his salary. As for next year, I'm sure TD will have something to say about the contract. Though I will say this, if the organization bends over backwards to support any player, it will be Brooking. In other words, Brook would be the last place the team will go to get salary cap room. In my opinion, of course.
Crazy Trav
Keith Brooking used to be a good linebacker. He's not anymore. Sure he has good numbers on tackles but if you have watched the games then you know as well as I do that 90% of the tackles he gets is hanging onto somone's shoestrings as they drag him down the field. He's neither strong, nor fast anymore. When is the last time Brooking has stepped up in a gap and absolutly STUFFED a runningback right there at the line of scrimmage the way good linebackers do? I'd say about 2004.i would have to respectively disagree with you about stuffing a runner at the scrimmage. brooking is the one who stopped forte from getting the touchdown. i do agree with you he is getting older and losing his game but he brngs leadership and gives it his all. He does have good plays but i think this should be his last year unless he wants to be a coach.

He was going down and went right under Brooking and like always,Brooking just fell on him to make it look like he did something.Brooking hasn't put a good hit on anybody in years. He always just grabs at ankles. I was rewatching an earlier game this year last week and on one play a WR ran right across the middle and caught the ball right in Brooking path, wide open for the kill shot but instead litlle Keith waited for him and grabbed at his legs. FIRST DOWN!
edZep
If Brooking wasn't worthy of starting I am sure he wouldn't be.I trust Smith & Co. on that !
