FalconMama
Does anyone know? I do know that McNabb is deadly when rolling to his right so do you try to keep him in the pocket or force him to roll to the left? Brian Westbrook is really good with the screens but that's all I know. If you were Van Gorder how would you defend the Eagles offense. What's McNabb's weakness

falconsfan1987
Pressure, Pressure, and more Pressure. Put Grimes on Jackson they are similar in size. Play a mistake free game. I have noticed that Jamaal Anderson breaks loose to the outside alot. So maybe he will get another sack.

crankdatfalcon
keep ja55 on mcnabbs strong side so just in case mcnugget wants to roll out, he has ja55 in his face all the time.
Joremarid
the same way you defend any great offense.... by converting third downs and keeping them on the sidelines. we need turner, ovie, and norwood to come up big sunday.
DurtyBirds02
gotta keep mcnabb and westbrook in check. I think westbrook will be a non factor. Then we gotta deal with JJ defense. He is tricky, but I think ryan can figure it out.
tscott7636
Watch the screen play!!!!! PLEASE..........2nd down is always play action reggie brown in the slot or Jackson on a deep post route. I live in Philly and I've seen this for the last 10 years and If I as a fan can see it, why can't these F'N defensive coordinators figure it out. They run the same plays no matter the down or distance- Andy Reid is so F'N stubborn. We gotta watch the SCREEN and put JA55 on the right side so Mc'Scabb will roll right to him. Also we gotta block that Bullshizznit blitz up the middle with Dawkins if we are in 3rd and Long. bossFALCON™
tackle on the screens. we dont need to miss tackles and let the plays go longer than they should. bring lots of pressure. got to keep mcnugget uncomfortable.our offense will have to hold on to the ball and have long drives. that will ultimately help our D get rested and it wont let the eagles O get in sync.the eagles are beatable. they've lost 3 games this year, almost 4. the 49ers had the game in the bag but screwed up in the end and let PHI score like 23 points on them in the 4th qtr. Anthony Franklin
gotta keep mcnabb and westbrook in check. I think westbrook will be a non factor. Then we gotta deal with JJ defense. He is tricky, but I think ryan can figure it out. What do you mean Westbrook will be a non-factor. The guy is a flat out beast especially when given space to run his screen plays and also he's not given nearly enough credit for his toughness in between the tackes. For the Falcons to win they must do the following things on offense:1. Protect Ryan because Jim Johnson has 3 very good CB's and will send the safety's, linebackers and maybe even the nickel back to blitz him early and often. Also Trent Cole and Juqua Parker have been very good at applying pressure to the QB so the tackles and tight end must be on the same page and keep Ryan off the turf.2. They must run the ball effectively. The Eagles give up some good yardage against the run but are stingy (Minus the Dallas game) against the pass. Turner and Norwood must gain collectively at least 140 yards because Asante, Shepherd & Brown will play Roddy White/Harry Douglas and company very closely.3. Don't turn the ball over because a short field usually turns into quick points for the Eagles fairly quickly. On defense:1. Pressure, Pressure, Pressure McNabb. Otherwise he will pick you apart and the DB's can't cover receivers/running backs for 7-8 seconds all game long.2. Get off the field on 3rd down. Don't give up the big play on 3rd down. if they can stop Philly 60% or better or 3rd down they will be fine.3. Play a lil bump and run coverage to through off the timing of Philly's passing plays. This will only work if the safety's stay home and don't bite on the play action. Philly's offense is a timing offense. Get to McNabb, knock receivers off pattern and u stop the passing game. schwarzenegger321
Wow, some people are full of sheit on this board. Westbrook is hurt. Broken ribs are painful and take weeks to heal. Let Loften hit him a couple of times and he will be very limited. If you hit McNabb he becomes really erratic and is prone to throw bad balls. We have got to get some pressure, make him move and hit him a few times.Take away one aspect of their offense and Reid will meltdown and keep trying to do what you are taking away.Stop the freakin blitz and make third downs.Don't turn the ball over.Do this and we win by 10+ because we have the superior running game!
