Westbrook would not provide a definitive answer, but he told ESPN Radio in Philadelphia on Monday that he believes he's "on track" to play Sunday. Westbrook broke two ribs on the eighth play of the Eagles' 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 5.

Westbrook also missed the Eagles' Week 4 game against the Chicago Bears with an ankle injury.

Westbrook has 194 yards rushing and six touchdowns, including two receiving, this season.

This guy definitely makes their offense go. Don't get me wrong McNabb does too, but everyone in the league knows he is just as important. This will surely make this a tougher game to win, but hey now that I think about that's what we should want. That way there's no excuses if we beat them. GO FALCONS!!

If he plays and we win the excuse will be that Westbrook wasn't 100% and Chris Berman for the third straight week we win will say - "I don't know but there might be something brewing in Atlanta. I don't know what but something is brewing there."<_<

There's no way on earth I could ever image what 2 broken ribs feel like, let alone trying to play shortly after they'd been broken.....

Man I know what you mean. I had bruised ribs once and I couldn't laugh without nearly screaming in pain. I know they drug these guys up, but still to have broke ribs and have mutants like Lofton barreling down on you can NOT be fun.

I'd rather see him play, I'm all for playing teams when they're 100% healthy, but I'm also for seeing our D being able to take advantage of an injured players and playing to his weaknesses.

Man if Lofton gets a hold of him with one of those battering ram hits, his whole body will be his weakness...ouch!

I like the thought..but all that really matters is that we win. Philly with their catalyst on offense would make that easier. If people don't believe this team is for real by now they may never feel that way. So even if Westbrook plays and we win..it's not going to convince some naysayers anyway.

That's the beauty of the NFL, the only thing that matters when it's all said and done is the W/L's column. We don't need style points like UGA needs right now, we just need wins.

Coming off back to back wins and a bye week, what could compel you to want our team to have to match up against westbrook? I say take our W's as many times as and as many ways as we can get em. This is rebuilding process and it would do much more for our team to win against the eagles with or without westbrook than to have westbrook start and lose the game. I'm not guaranteeing a loss if westbrook plays but I guarantee that unless he's not ready and he's back, our defense will stay on the field longer, our offense warming the pine. There's no logic behind hoping that a serious playmaker is healthy enough to play against us, a team that has had trouble stopping the rush......

Dude I don't want cheap wins. You don't excel that way in the NFL plus I believe we can beat them with Westbrook in there and when we do there will be no excuses. Would you want to beat a team without their best player on the field? If so, that may be your choice, but that's a cheap way out and I want the fellas to get everyone's best shot. That's makes you better in the end so there is some logic in what I said. We took on the Bears with their best and won and that will make us better in the end, beating GOOD teams giving us their best shot- not cheap wins... <_<
