GT #1 in the ACC.

Recommended Posts

I just thought I would point out the fact to all GT/UGA fans alike that GT is #1 in the ACC under first year head coach PJ after the BC defeat of VT. Feels great. The schedule breaks down as such:

10/25 vs. Virginia - win

11/1 vs. FL. ST. - win

11/08 @ NC - win

11/20 vs. Miami - win

11/29 @ UGA - WIN

Nobody left on the schedule looks to be a juggernaut and it is not out of the realm of possibility to have a 9-3/10-2/11-1 record at the end of the season. Didn't think it was possible under a new coach, huh? I LOVE IT. Soon enough the UGA/GT game will be a yearly beat down with GT coming out on top. Flame now, but I will be proved right later. PJ has proved he has the knack to not only develop a great program but also to defeat rivals year after year. I guess the main thing I am trying to say is things are looking mighty bright right now for Georgia Tech.

we'll see how that little running game does against a real defense on nov 1st. my nole's should be back int he top 25, so it looks like 3 of your last 5 could be against top 25 teams.....all 3 of which could be losses after playing the local high schools JV girls volleyball team in jack state, gardner webb, and duke.. see ya'll at bobby dodd on the 1st.

You guys better hope you don't play like you did against NC State or it could get ugly.

Actually you are wrong.. VT is still #1 in your division, not GT. I would also like to point out to GT fans you have played a weak schedule. You gotta love gt fans talking about a yearly beatdown of uga by gt. I swear gt fans are some of the worst fan bases out there when it comes to dealing with reality.. Here is the reality UGA OWNS GT PERIOD..

look back over the past 7 games to 2002. nc state has played us tough every year.....same with maryland. since '02, we've won 4 of the 7 meetings with nc state. in our 4 wins, the average has been 9.75 points. in our losses, the average has been 6.3 points. i don't think it's a matter of us playing bad, but more of going up against a team that's played us well. excluding the 50-44 double OT win in '03, the average score has been 18-14.6 in FSU's favor since 2002. next....

No we have played VT, BC, and Clemson all solid teams. Only team UGA has played is Bama and they got the beat out of them. You act like UGA has played a hard schedule so far.

You played a clemson team that stunks.. not solid.. you played a bc team that is average and a vt team that is average as well.. uga has played tougher schedule already with bama, south carolina, vanderbilt >>>>>> better than anyone on gt's schedule so far and yes your schedule is weak.. UGA has one of the toughest schedules in college football.. don't let the facts get in your way..

You are a huge SEC homer. The only reason BC and VT are average are because they're in the ACC and South Carolina and Vandy are suck great teams because they are in the SEC. Vandy lost to Miss State. nuff said VT and BC >>>>>> Vandy and USC..

You are a huge ACC homer. The only reason you think bc or vt are beyond average is because they are in the ACC. South Carolina and Vandy aren't great teams, but they are better than vt and bc.. You don't have to be great teams to better than average acc teams.

How am I an ACC homer because I said two very good ACC teams are better then two average SEC teams. South Carolina struggled with UAB and Wofford and have 3 losses and Vandy lost to Miss State last week the same State team that got killed by GT and Tenn.

Do you really want to talk about teams in your conference struggling with poor out of conference teams.. you really don't want to with the acc this year or last when it comes to lower division teams.. Gardner webb anyone.. that doesn't boost your argument at all. Also it doesn't take a homer to see that south carolina and vandy are better than most of the teams on gt's schedule.. you guys just happen to pick 2 and there is nothing to back up that those teams on gt's schedule are anything but average.. we will see how great again your conference does in the bowl season.. it's really great to see how dominating the acc is year in and year out there.. lol and yes it does take a homer to even try and argue gt's schedule is hard and uga's isn't.. As I said don't let facts get in your way. heck even gt fans who are not homers haven't even tried to argue about gt's schedule being anything but weak nor have they tried to argue UGA's schedule being anything but one of the hardest in the country and btw EVERYONE said that about uga's schedule.. So try again, you will fail there.

I never said UGA's schedule wasn't hard. Both UGA and GT's schedule has been average so far with cupcakes like Jack State and Gardner Webb(even though it was close) but GT's last 5 games will be tough. UGA has a harder schedule but so far they have been even. Vandy has a nice little run but BC and VT>>>> Vandy. We have 7 teams in the top 35. BI'll take it.

The ACC is the butt of the national jokes. who is the best team in the acc? who knows yet? but, i challenge, who is really the best team in the SEC? ALA? theyve got a lot to prove yet. who was the best team in big 12? we all thought it was OU until TX beat them. TX came from out of nowhere to claim number 1 in the polls. whos to say UF or LSU isnt going to win the SEC? we just dont know yet.

ACC is a defensive league with horrid offenses. that pr**ck bob davie said it best- the offenses havent caught up with the defenses. Other conferences have ranked teams who are at least balanced if not offensive juggernauts.

as much as it hurts to admit it, after the way VT played last night,, my exact words were,,, we couldnt even beat south carolina..or would struggle vs UK (id love for VT to play them or UT at the peach bowl)

ole miss is a solid team this year, beating UF and almost beating WF. WF vs. Vandy will be great matchup.

im going to see how well UGA defends the triple option game of GT, bc this year;s game might actually be competitive for once.
