KRUNKuno
dating back to last year i've been all over Harris like flies to poo because that's exactly how Victor Harris plays football. i said he would be a mid to late first rounder but backed off a little. not because of his play, but because he's more fit for cover2. a prime example of this was Brandon Flowers last year. In my eyes, he'd have to truly work his way into tha first round. he has yet to disappoint. i snuck out at work a few times to keep track with Harris' play. i saw him get beat for that touchdown, but i knew he'd have tha last laugh. tha next series he comes out, LOCKS DOWN his receiver in man coverage to make a remarkable pick 6. i've always said that he plays exceptional zone coverage and tight man coverage and it showed throughout this game. he comes up to support flat routes when he's in deep zone, he's an asset in run defense, i watched this man come up from his deep zone and plow a runningback clean out of bounds. he's tough, and i've yet to mention his punt returning abilities.straight up, he's officially a first rounder. Heaven forbid something drastic happening to this guy because he can really be a formidable resource and star in tha NFL. wherever he goes, i know i'm copping his jersey. Hopefully it'll be a Red, Black, and White jersey with Atlanta Falcons on it.
keller24VT
Harris is a great player. I definitely think he is a first rounder. Had a great game tonight. Too bad VT's offense did absolutely nothing. 5 turnovers and zero offensive touchdowns. I feel bad for Bud Foster. Tech's OC Stinespring should be fired. He has to be the worst OC I've ever seen (worse than Greg Knapp).

ESPN was talking about how he was getting burned..he's a good player though, top of the 2nd in my book.I really didn't see him get burned many times. I only saw two plays that he was "burned." One was on the touchdown pass and the other was when he got caught looking at the quarterback scrambling and let the receiver get behind him. I thought that he made some huge plays that kept VT in the game. He returned a pick for a score, and caused another INT for a TD when he jumped a slant route and deflected the ball to Warren. I'm not making excuses, but he is playing offense and special teams as well, so it is bound to affect him on defense sometimes. I know I am biased towards VT, I will certainly admit that, but I really don't think I'm being a homer with this. He is definitely worthy of a first rounder. This excerpt from ESPN draft tracker solidifies that notion "Can struggle to control emotions on the field and flagged for a personal foul during the 2007 Miami game." Sound familiar? Better feel again. I was probably watching football when you were still in your daddy's loins. Just because you get a nut over Harris doesn't mean everybody else should jughead. I guarantee you Arthur Blank has seen enough VT punks on his team to last a lifetime and for that reason you will be carrying that man-love for Harris to some other team besides the Falcons after next April's draft. End of discussion.

End of discussion.im pretty sure arthur blank isnt making any gm moves whippersnapper. TD will draft whomever he pleases and i'm quite certain he'll take a long gander at Victor Harris, a player that fits tha mold of what we're trying to build both on and off field. and "son" was not meant to be taken literal nor was it age-inflicted. Mr. Offseason
there is a point to be made about harris' playmaking ability but that is also what leads him to be burned. that is awfully similar to dhall man.i dont know about the attitude or whatever but that alone is disturbing to me. especially because he isnt the athlete dhall is in terms of speed to be able to gamble like that. he fits the mold of a cover-2 corner but... i dont know about him. Shaud
I must not be watching the same games. Well I admit I missed the BC game but caught every other game and didn't see him getting burnt. **** they hardly even throw his way. Stephen Virgil is the one who struggled starting the season out.Either way the Hokie offense is the **** problem.

But yeah Macho had a bad game it looks like.

Harris is VT's defensive leader but most importantly their team leader.

Harris is VT's defensive leader but most importantly their team leader.I absolutely agree. I've watched every Virginia Tech game multiple times and people are acting like he gets burned on every play. He had two bad plays in the BC game, but made up for it by causing two defensive touchdowns. The previous games, the ball was rarely even thrown his way, and when it was, it was picked. Look at the Georgia Tech game, UNC game, etc. The person being burned is not Macho, it is usually Virgil. Also, keep in mind that VT's offense is DREADFUL. The defense is usually on the field for a large majority of the game. VT's offense could not score one offensive touchdown when the defense forced 5 turnovers. Macho safety help usually comes from Dorian Porch, a backup safety taking the place of Devon Morgan, who tore his ACL. I've watched every from the DHall era to the Macho era. IMO, Macho was better coming out of college than Hall, Green, Flowers, Williams, etc. And he has a positive attitude.

KRUNKuno
didnt get a chance to see tha game. i never do anymore. my saturdays consist of full days of nonstop work. gotta bring in tha bacon.i read tha recap however and saw that Greg Carr had a field day with Harris. Though it was only 3 catches, they were pretty big catches. im not gonna try and defend anything cuz i've yet to see what happened. did he get burned??? The last one he got beat on we should of been off the field but we roughed the punter. Carr pushed off a little on that last deep ball but Macho turned to see where the ball was and that is why he got beat. Carr is 6'6 so that was going to be a tough matchup for Macho. But yeah Macho struggled yesterday on defense. He played pretty good on Offense though.
