crankdatfalcon
the dolphins are extending a contract out to ty law...why arent we pursuing him? lets face it, our corners suck, and we have no real veteran experience at corner. how great would it be to get ty law for a year or two, our young corners can learn alot from one of the best corners to play the game. i understand it might take some money to get him, but you gotta spend money to make money. scared money dont make no money. signing him will only help our secondary, not hurt it. he would step in and be by far the best corner on our team...thoughts?? The_ATL
...thoughts??I think there is a reason that noone has bothered talking to him until Week 7 of the regular season.
crankdatfalcon
I think there is a reason that noone has bothered talking to him until Week 7 of the regular season.whats that reason??the dolphins arent a bad team..TD worked with law while in new england and so did milloy, so if we did any pursuing, im sure we could land him over any other team. aerosmith67
The same reason nobody jumped on Shaun Alexander until 7 weeks into the season, nobody thinks these players have anything left to offer. From what I understand the Falcons are going through a review process to go over the depth chart and making possible changes, I just don't see a need to for Ty Law on this team. Law may fit in with the Dolphins but I'd rather see the Falcons wait until the draft or FA period to beef up the DB portion of the team. triggerman
If he plays he will be a dolphin, he was a Tuna draft pick, and the system in MIA is the same he played in already. he is a Parcell guy. I am just waiting for richie Anderson or Terry Glenn to resurface in MIa.

BlacksburgHokie
well in our case, law is better than every corner we have on our team.At this point in his career? The Ty Law of 5 years ago, absolutely. Now, it's probably a stretch for him to be anything other than a 3rd CB...

falconcrest58
I say let's continue to develope our young corners.....a pass rush would make them look like pro bowlersit starts with a pass rush which we don't haveTy Law is washed up that's why he available...he's not what he use to be or anywhere close to it

He's played for both the Jets and Chiefs since leaving the Pats about 3/4 years ago.He hasnt been hurt just lost a step or 3.

We're also not playing with our full compliment of DB's with Von Hutchins being out for the year. For a "developmental" year our DB's have played pretty tough. Houston only just now started his seventeenth game. Just one game over one season.
The_ATL
u really think thats possible? i dont think QB's will even throw to his side.LOL! You dont think that the opposing team will look towards the side of a 35 year old CB who hasnt played in about a year and also one who wont totally know the system he will be playing in? Grimes looked great last weekend and if you notice they started passing away from Grimes in the 4th qtr. The answer isn't in bringing in an old Law, the answer is through first a strong DL draft/FA period and then looking at DB's through the draft and FA as well. From everything I've read and heard from TD he's got a solid plan which has worked out well so far this year, I'd take his plan over a team that's just loading up on old Parcells players.
