Laurent needs to start

Now I know Micheal Jenkins made a couple great catches in the Bears game, but Robinson needs to start against the eagles. The only real reason Jenkins is starting is because Robinson got hurt anyways, so lets give him the start next week. The eagle have 3 Great Corners, and it is going to be a task for Ryan so lets give him 3 WRs that can make some separations in the routs. You know, make it easier for him. The eagle are not a cupcake pass defense and we need to Give the Rook some Speed To Work With. (By the way, Robinson ran a 4.3 at the combine last year, and Jenkins runs a 4.63) :o

Do you guys agree?

Yes, I think he will soon enough. I do think Jenkins has been filling in well. We have to make sure that Robinson is in game shape and on the same page with Ryan before he starts though. We don't want to have him make a mistake and cause any ints due to not being on the same page with Ryan.

Yeah, Jenkins has been such a liability for us.

He was starting before Robinson got hurt, you know. He got the job because he apparently was a harder worker and is unquestionably a better downfield blocker than Robinson, which is a huge part of the responsibilities of our receivers.

I'd like to see Robinson get some more playing time because I think he can be a threat. However, I don't want him GIVEN anything; I want him to earn it by burning up the field with his performance. So far, he hasn't, even when he's been healthy.

no he wasn't. Jenkins didn't start until Robinson got hurt and was missing a bunch of practice in training camp. He had 2 separate injuries in training camp. and when he was healthy and got time he did show out. He was taking most of the #2 snaps from Jenkins then he got hurt during his first catch week 3.

but I do agree that he shouldn't be given anything. It's a given he'll perform his way to a starting spot but all he has to do is stay healthy. Jenkins is no competition when it comes to playing WR. Robinson lost his job because of hisself. If he comes back and stays healthy,he'll get his job back.

I TELL YOU WHAT, WHEN I HAVE LUNCH WITH COACH SMITH TOMORROW,

I'LL TELL HIM WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM HIM. I'M PRETTY SURE RIGHT NOW

WHAT HIS ANSWER WILL BE. BUT THEN AGAIN, MAYBE HE'LL TAKE INTO

ACCOUNT ALL OF THE VAST COACHING KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE, AND

AGREE TO ALL OF YOUR CHANGES. I'LL LET YOU KNOW. B)

Last year there weren't any health problems...what changed??

Actually he missed a game last year because he was hurt. I believe it was the Jacksonville game.

Defensive tackle Rod Coleman, expected to miss the first four games while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, is Atlanta’s only player who has been ruled out of Sunday’s game. Safety Chris Crocker was held out again Friday with a knee injury. Rookie receiver Laurent Robinson (hamstring) was available for only limited drills.

He can't stay healthy when he's not starting.... What makes you think he can hold up during the course of 16 weeks.....
