Sources in Atlanta don't expect the Falcons to change a whole lot during their bye week. Things are going far better than anyone expected and there's not much of a need to tweak lineups on offense and defense. However, there could be a change made on punt returns, the way we hear it. Adam Jennings has handled the duties thus far, but he's gaining just 6.8 yards per return, which left the Falcons ranked 25th in the league as they headed into their bye week. Jennings also has muffed two returns, which is tied for a league high. Word is rookie WR Harry Douglas will get more looks at the position and he's being groomed to eventually take over full time. Douglas has made his mark as a receiver and ballcarrier on reverse plays this season, but scouts envisioned him as a punt returner, as well, when he left Louisville.

This is a situation that hsa needed to be addressed for quite some time. I don't understand why Jennings wasn't cut in August.

they must have not thought HD was ready for it in august, makes sense then to wait till the bye week then to make the change, time to work on it and see whats best
