leahysailor
My brother who doesn't watch football (communist) was in Atlanta sunday at the ga aquarium. They were leaving from the aquarium when Elam made the kick, he called me when he got home and ask me what happened in the game around 4 o:clock. I told him about the final seconds of the game and he then told me he heard the fans in the dome when Elam made the kick. I mapped and thats a little over a mile away! Tandy
I saw that yesterday - so I decided to go look at Seattle's performance because of the reputation there for false starts, etc. Here is an article I read - notice it says 110dbarticle about crowd noise in Seattle

Xfactor
My wife made fun of me because I couldn't talk for two days after the Bears game. It was crazy and I felt proud how we were the 12th man that day.Orton had to put his hands to his helmet to hear the play many times during the game. When Elam kicked the game winning field goal and the crowd realized it was going to be good it sounded like a 747 taking off. I will not soon forget that. There were several times though, during 3rd downs, when I was screaming - that my voice would totally go - I'd have to drink some water to try to get it back. Also - take aspirin or tylenol with you - I always do because man, you get a headache when you scream like that.
Guest james h.
Appreciate the comments, everyone. I'm a true geek with this kind of stuff. Much of my work is conceptual, but if our fans really take interest in such things, such concepts may turn into more substantial features of AtlantaFalcons.com.Cheers. Falcon Freddie
A high noise leve, to be sure. But just think how much noise there would have been if a large percentage of Falcons fans didn't head for the exits like the stadium was on fire after the go-ahead TD by the Bears with 11 seconds left. In my section, at least half the sectators were already in the passageways by the time Ryan threw the ball to Jenkins.
