yeah he needs to worry about coaching instead of taking verbal shots at uga.. this is just one of many comments he has said attacking uga and mark richt. i know he wants to make inroads instate and wants to change the perception of his loser team, but putting down Georgia all the time just makes him sound like an idiot and this guy is the same guy who can't handle anyone questioning him or his decisions to such a degree he feels the need to attack announcers verbally and call them to tell them off because he didn't like their commentary.. that guy is unable to handle criticism he is in the wrong freaking job.

Well he should be attacked for pretending to be a great football coach when he coached at Navy. His game calling this year has been down right terrible. The defense is keeping GT in every game and that is probably just because they were coached by Tenuta.

I wasn't impressed w/their hire at DC. He was fired from South.Miss for God's sake! But you are right that their D is keeping them in games. Their front 4 is ridiculous.

But you do know that CPJ doesn't need a play sheet b/c he has all the plays in his head. I'm dead serious.

I am glad we have a coach that understands the importance of this rivalry and does not take the apporach that this is just another game as Chan Gailey so often did. I am glad he is ready to play and his expectations are for a win. Do I definitely think we will win, NO, but i do believe we will give UGA a great game and it is possible. I did not think UGA was the best team in the country going into the season but certainly thought they were top five. We have lost seven straight and it is time for win. Looking forward to November.

One more point...

Our defense is great, but our offense has played very well at times and I would argue even better then expected. Every football team has an off game or two, but we have not been awful offensively.

B/c eventually it's gonna backfire on him.It makes him come across as whiny and desperate. Georgia is a top-5 program right now and CMR is a top-5 coach and can outcoach Johnson if need be. I don't know if his system will ultimately work in major CFB. We'll see, but I have my doubts.

Does it really matter? It is pure old fashioned hate and UGA is going to be up for the game already and with their schedule I don't believe Stafford and Moreno will have T-shirts made for the team quoting something Paul Johnson said. You underestimate Paul Johnson Pit--He is a very good coach.

Not a whole lot, both are doing it to give their teams confidence against a team that has owned them lately. You can't go into a game like that with the same defeatist attitude and expect the same results. UGA fans defend Ritch, and then turn around and critize someone when they do it to their program. Hypocrisy.

Very competitive people do not handle criticism well. That is why Tech fired their last guy, because losing did not bother him. Johnson has said he hates losing more than he enjoys winning. It is nice listening to a coach speak what he believes rather than trying to sugarcoat everything these days. Nobody talks about the times he has criticized himself during interviews either. He knows when he screws up and when he didn't. But this is beside the point. I still call it hypocrisy that UGA fans can't see that what he is doing is not much different than what Ritch did verse Florida. Except for the fact that it is not against the rules.

Mark Richt DID NOT(I'll say it again slowly so you can understand) D-I-D N-O-T order the entire team into the EZ. He told the offense to celebrate when they scored, just the 11 on offense. But when Moreno scored, the entire team ran out onto the field. Not what CMR originally planned, but it worked all the same.

And if you're gonna criticize our coach, at least spell his name right. It's R-I-C-H-T. Not Ritch you maroon.

Yep I saw it, obviously you don't know much about it.. No a competitior can handle criticism and don't whine and cry like a baby and name call when they are questioned.. nor do they feel the need to contact the announcers and tell them off.. that isn't a competitor, that is someone who can't handle any criticism and isn't very good at being question.. if richt was like that he wouldn't be in this league.. paul johnson needs to man up and take it like a man.. if he is going to dish out crap and put down another team then he should be willing to take questioning for his bad play calling or poor decision making.. a real man can handle that..

not really part of a rivalry to continue to trash another school.. i have seen plenty of rivalries where the coaches are professoinal and deal with it in that manner.. paul johnson can't be considered that at all.
