McMVP
yep.. How are people feeling about the Roy Williams trade?I think they overpaid for him.I think RW is a heck of a talent - but he has never been consistent - both on the field and with his durabiity. It has also been fairly obvious for a while that he was going to end up there eventually - so I'm glad they had to pay a steep price. I think RW will put up better numbers in Dallas than Detroit - but I'm not sure to what degree. It will be interesting to see how TO feels too. He'll probably say all the right things at first. I think they needed secondary help more - especially with the injuries they have and the Pacman suspension. And now with Romo injured, they have a less mobile QB - and defenses will come after him hard (easier to get to the QB than to cover Witten, TO, and Williams). They will run Barber hard - but they need to keep him healthy now more than ever. Jones has a partially torn hammy. So they are currently hurting in the secondary, at QB, at backup RB, and RS. Can Roy Williams fix all those problems? He certainly represented an upgrade over Crayton - but how much remains to be seen. I lok at the RW aquisition more as insurance against TO. Two superstars. Which one would be willing to give up that star for the team?
McMVP
I think he's saying that everyone knows that Philly has been solid for years. As Falcons fans, we're just tired of all this talk about not beating a winning team. IMO, that doesn't mean squat. San Diego is probably the best team in the league and look at their record. That's the NFL. No one can be taken for granted. The Falcons deserve some respect but no one is going to be shocked if/when Philly kicks our azz. If the Falcons win, which I think is completely in the realm of possibily, the world will be shocked. I like our position. Understood....can't say I disagree

Tom Servo
The weakness of our defense plays right into their hands. Andy Reid hates running the ball and will even throw multiple screens from multiple formations as a replacement for a running play. If we really wanna win, we're gonna have to control the clock and keep that DeSean fellow off of the field.

We scored a combined 75 points in those games.

I know our offense will struggle. And I know the Eagles TEAM must feel that they should be 5-1, 6-0. That's enough motivation to beat any team, IMO anyway. But in the end, I think this will be the game that exposes our CB's for what they are: nickel and dime package CBs.If we win, I'll ****ing freak out. I might even black out and slap somebody. Bring It
Looking around on the Eagles message board seems to me that they aren't scared of out team. So I asking you guys the same question. Should we be scared of the Eagles? They are coming with the same arguements as the Bears. You know the one. We haven't beat anyone with a winning record? Our defense is ranked 24th, so what they have to be scared about? Same ole , same ole!!!http://boards.philadelphiaeagles.com/index...howtopic=515565Same crap we heard from the Packer faithful.................then the Bears braintrust.A broken record. Can we beat the Eagles....................in Phil. ???Who knows, but I'll guarantee you one thing. The Falcons will show up !!!!! falconfanjason
It will be so much easier to win if we can get Turner and Norwood going. I have confidence in Matt Ryan but I know if I were the coaches I wouldn't want to put him in situations where he needs to throw for 300 a game to get the win.Eagles have a pretty good offense, they are a tough match-up for our D as many young players as we have. Atlanta Sports Fan
Philly fans are disrespectful. Always we're, Always will be. Its sad because i live here and i am admitting it. Not all are like that but most are. I say not all because my dad and uncle are Eagles fans but they do not take it serious or go to games.I have never been to a Falcons-Eagles game but i do go to all the Thrashers-Flyers , Hawks-Sixers , and most Braves-Phillies games. But besides probably the Flyers, The Eagles fans are most disrespectufl and rowdy fans in Philly and in all of sports.Oh and i forgot to mention, Philly fans are sort of lousy fans. They don't care one bit about the Eagles right now. I ask alot of them how do you feel about your Eagles and they say "O well who cares about this season, We have the Phillies". Turth be told, they aren't really true fans. I can remember two seasons ago when Phillies games had horrible attendence. Sort of like the Rays from past seasons and this season. BadMoonRising
Only a fool would not respect McNabb and the play he brings to the table. There offense has been formable for quite some time, and our pass defense is a speed bump at best.I are only hope is to keep McNabb off the field, we will need to establish that running game, followed by a 70% completion rate short passing game. We need McNabb off the field, and we need to establish the lines period.I truly feel who ever controls the ball the best wins this game, turnovers will be huge.I just hope the eagles still think of us as a joke.
