week 7 predictions

Atlanta decided to take the week off. Here's to hoping they get overconfident and complacent.

Tampa should stomp Seattle. I'm hoping they make a statement on the national stage. Looking for 200+ yards combined with Graham and Dunn, showcasing our ground attack. Hoping the D also steps up. 28 to 10

New Orleans @ Carolina is an interesting game. I think Carolina bounces back quickly from the hangover of losing to us and pushes the Saints offensive line around a bit. Brees has a solid game still, but bush and mcallister won't do much. 24 to 20 Carolina.

Thoughts?

I'm waiting for the Saints to "establish the running game" if they do they would be a lot tougher team!

it would help if we stopped trying to run pitches to the outside. Our linemen just cant seem to get out there and block or its the TE not sealing the corner. Running Deuce behind Brown and Nicks always seems to get positive yardage.

Bucs and Panthers

if the Panthers werent coming off getting humiliated, i would pick the Saints

I respect you for going with your gut instinct, rather than just automatically picking your team. Quite honestly I don't think the Saints and Panthers could be more evenly matched though. I see it just as easily going Nawlin's way

which is why the Panthers win. The Saints still have a lot of injuries and the Panthers will be fired up after that big loss

Tampa/Seattle

After the euphoria of dominating a division rival, the old guys go into Seattle without needing pain killers to get the job done. The Bucs will sack whatever garbage QB is in the backfield often...unless its Seneca Wallace, who might provide a spark to the nameless/faceless Seattle offense.

Tampa should still dominate on the defensive side of the ball, and be able to run on the Seattle defense...led by the overrated Lofa.

Tampa by 17 points.

NO/Carolina

Carolina is coming off a massive loss, which will bring them back down to Earth. NO will test their secondary, but Carolina should limit the bleeding by stopping the Saints anemic run game. Carolina has the tools though to play clock control on offense, and can chunk it to a whining Steve Smith/old but ballin Moose. Reggie Bush will have 13 receptions for 40 yards and a TD...to go along with 25 yards rushing and 8 sets of bicep curls.

Colston will have a good day, Shockey will get a hangnail and go on IR, and Pierre Thomas will continue to ride the pine for no good reason.

Saints by 2 FG's

who kicks them?

John Carney, if you believe the rumors.

Mehlhaff is 2/3 so far, and you could fairly chalk up that first miss to rookie butterflies, so I feel ok with him. Also the dude is jacked the EFF up; God help any Panthers KR who makes it past the wedge with just one guy to beat - he might make the wrong segment of SportsCenter.

lmao, i remember at the fist day of tc he comes onto the field and everyone saying stuff like who is that white boy rb?!

the best thing was when he drilled the 45 yarder onto the top of the locker rooms.

We are getting Colston, Shockey and possibly Ellis back this week. That should help us out IMMENSELY.

I've been hearing all week: Panthers will be fired up and PO'd, so a W for them. They will probably be fired up but...

You don't think we aren't PO'd either? I know we put a whooping on the Raiders...but we did piss away three W's. Payton and Brees knows we are better then that. It's a big divisional game before we head to London...I think we will be prepared and Brees himself said we will be.

the report out of metarie today is that the saints are "amped" up for this game. they are ready to play.

i don't believe in all of this the panthers are po'd. as the other poster said the saints have given away 3 w's this season. they are just as much wanting a win as the panthers. there is no po talk about it, in the nfl you move on.

you take a loss on sunday, you hear about it and try to fix the mistakes on monday, and after that you will forget about it and move on to the next game.
