falconsunite
i no ill get a lot of slack for this but I dont care because I'm tired of brooking being a scrub on big plays, it's 4th and 1 on about the 50 yard line the bears hand off to forte and brooking comes running in and has a shot a forte but stops (on his own)because he sees a blocker running towards him. He then proceeds to get slammed to the turf (like a little girl)and forte picks up a crucial first down. Now i no many will say o your not a coach blah blah blah blah. It doesnt take rocket scientist to see when a guy is on the decline and becoming a hindurance to the team. boley and lofton are doing there job. Are offense is awesome, but guess what guys are defense is getting worked on passing plays. 26th in defense and what wins games and championships you guessed it the defense. Once again haveing tackles isint really a good thing when it comes to the passing game. Go look at the leading tackler in the NFL he seems to play for the bengals and whats the bengals record, indeed it is 0-6. so tackle that buddy (tackles are for those who cant defend passes like good ole keith). Last time I checked there are 11 guys on the field for each defensive play and not pass given up is by Brooking. Look at the goal line stance. When Forte was trying to get a second chance at the touchdown Brooking came up and popped him and kept him out the endzone.

ILL take brooking out of this and put the defense as a whole in his place. They need to step the heck up are offense as done a superb job of getting us oun in front early and sustaining drives to keep the defense off the field, and then the drfense starts getting worked not so much in the running game but def. in the passing game(we play the eagles u no they pass prob 70 percent of the time). we got lucky with this win and the defense almost lost it for us. STEP THE **** UP D(U GUYS DO MAKE MILLIONS not so sure u guys deserve it though) offense should take your salary.
falconsunite
STFU! YOU SPEAK OF NONSENSE!nonsense this buddy, we have 3 picks as a defense yes sad but true. (against lions and chiefs). A-TowN.-
nonsense this buddy, we have 3 picks as a defense yes sad but true. (against lions and chiefs). I speak the truth and nothing but the truthAddress the pass rush, address the corner backs. Grimes could of had two against the bears. Same with Houston but he bit on something like an idiot. Keith Brooking can't help with picks since he hasn't had to the chance to get any. He has been making a productive amount of tackles, which at his position is good. Address the DBs for interceptions. And I'm not your buddy.

I just got done watching it in slow motion.

formul8or
ummm. Patriots never had a real good D. Colts didnt either. USC never has a D.... all those are good offenses who won championshipsPats have always had a solid D and it wasn't until the Colts finally addressed fixing up their defense that they got over the hump and went to the Super Bowl and won.Brooking is a good leader. But man he is the 2nd highest paid LB in the league and he gets torn apart in the passing game. Take note of where all of those passes over the middle are going. I'd say 75% of them are against Brooking.

Brooking really had a chance to stop him when he was absolutely man handled on that play. Give me a break. You are just a hater. I got a question for you? If you're so smart why didn't Lofton stop him?
mcsupersport
Hate to be the one to point this out, but Brooking is the Field General of our defense. His job is to make sure everyone understands where they should be and what responsibilities they should have. His overall physical abilities are important but his mental abilities and experience is by far, more important this year with so many new/young players. I also saw Loften running close to a short pass/screen(IIRC) looking very lost actually running with the ballcarrier for almost 5-10 yards before realizing he had the ball and he should be chasing him. Loften is good but he is still a rookie, and needs the help of an experienced player with him. Next year, Boley or Loften might be able to take over the green dot for Brooking, but this year he is very much needed.

The reason Lofton didn't make the tackle on that play was because he ran too far to the outside and when he tried to cut back toward the ball carrier he got met by the center for the Bears. That was just 1 of those plays where the offense had more blockers than the defense had players. It happens sometimes but to single out Brooking like he is doing is wrong. falconsunite
junior falcan on the 4th and goal brooking made the stop after he was already stopped. in other words brooking just jumped on the pile when the job had already been done.
