ATL Doc
Are we going to watch Matt and forget to finish building our team? Why do we get a pretty good team and get content and stop trying to build a SUPERBOWL winner?Grady Jackson is a great run stopper and John Abraham is excellent pass rusher but we need a hybrid! Rod Coleman or a Rod Coleman type seems to be a great fit. Also Lawyer Malloy is a great safety but he doesnt make recievers think twice about coming across the middle. If you watch our games teams constantly throw across the middle on us. I want us to find the fountain of youth and dip Ronnie Lott in it or get another knock your head off safety, I recommend, Gregg Blue.We need to address our holes and not get caught up in the last game played (as exciting and great as it was!)I will repeat this over and over until somebody hears me! ATL Doc
It's not about a particular player. Rod was quick off the snap and could get sacks and stop the run. That would be a great addition to our team. If you can name someone please do.
Guest Gritz
Can't do it all in one offseason man. Look at just a few guys we got out of this draft:Our Franchise QBOur Starting LTOur Starting MLB#4 Receiver (and great in the slot...)Hybrid Rush DENickel CBWhat the **** do you want in one year? What were we suppossed to do...trade for everyone we could before the deadline? Give the process a chance man!Who is a Rod Coleman type? As for the original my guess is that he's hurt bad enough that we may never see him again otherwise he would be on someones roster because good DT's don't grow on trees. It's Milloy not, "Malloy" and if you don't think that guys not laying the wood just about every game then you aren't watching. He's not on Brian Dawkins pique level but the guy is still crushing people out there. Why you would bring Ronnie Lott into this is beyond me. He's maybe the greates box safety to ever play and he doesn't grow on trees either. Gregg Blue can't cover otherwise he would be in an NFL starting lineup. Moving on.Don't repeat any of what you said earlier.

We exceeded expectations so now we rest until next year? Great plan. That's just a stupid post.....You just don't understand how the NFL works at all.Let me explain it to you like I would to a 7 year old child:Every team has a man called a General Manager. The General Manager's job is to try and acquire the very best talent available either through the draft or free agency to fit that particular teams coaches schemes to play winning football. This same General Manager continually watches other teams waiver wires and fields calls from floating free agents and their representatives in order to upgrade his roster. Most of these moves however take place prior to the season starting so that the assembled players can become familiar with the playbook and have an opportunity to gel as a squad.Only a mental midget or someone who had recently had their head backed over by a car in a driveway would think that 1.) There would be stellar talent available to acquire going into mid-October and/or that 2.) Wholesale changes or additions can be made by any means available unless a series of unforeseen injuries had befallen a team.

A Rod Colemn type is someone that can shoot the gaps to stop the run and get off the line quickly to make sacks. Rod Cleman is not hurt and there are a lot of good players that get dropped by a team and not picked up by another. I said Rod himself but I am open to suggestions that's why I said a Rod Coleman type. If there were more fans paying attention and trying to see where we could make improvements, then statement like a "Whomever" type would be easily understood. You have so many people waiting to be jerks than trying to hold a decent conversation. I brought up Ronnie Lott as a joke and he was not known for his cover skills either but he made receivers nervous about going across the middle. I think with our linebacking core and Lawyer Malloy a hard hitter in the middle would be a great addition. I'm sure though that is the dumbest thing ever said because we may go 8-8 and we shouldn't want better, my bad.

classic city falcon
Building a team isn't a magic one day process. It's also tough to make major additions during the season. I can guarantee you that in the offseason we will address our defense.
Rockford
Rod Coleman is a very good line and he is available. I'm sue that one addition is just so unacheivable. If he was very good still and available he would be on a roster. We aren't the only team that needs more Dlinemen, and if they thought there was a chance he would pan out, somebody would be taking the chance.
