tscott7636
Tony Gonzalez? He has demanded a trade from KC and I heard on a sports radio show that the Giants and Falcons have interest in him.Is it true, and what do u guys thinks about having the Future Hall of Famer at tight end. I think it will solve our Red Zone problem tremendously
Falcons2Win10
No. We're in rebuild mode. Giving up picks would be stupid. It's not gonna happen.
Happy Mondays
He wants to go to a contender which we aren't so he will not be coming here, Although a 3rd rounder would be nice value for him
MSalmon
No. We're in rebuild mode. Giving up picks would be stupid. It's not gonna happen.LOL how the **** do you know? Giving up picks are stupid for a still in his prime All pro TE. Not saying we will do it, but it wouldn't suprise me to see TD make a move. Good thing he's out GM not you

BlacksburgHokie
I think "demand" is too strong a word for what he did - it was more like a "request" that they want very much to honor because of what he's meant to the organization. That being said, from what I've heard, the price that they are asking sounds pretty high. I heard a rumor that they were asking the Giants for the 2nd and 5th that they got from the Shockey trade, which would be quite a steep price to pay... g-dawg
not true - that's even far fetched for an internet rumor

It's not gonna happen.you people kill me with the rebuilding mode stuff...ill tell u something i recently heard joe johnson of the atlanta hawks say..if you think that a team cant survive without veteran leadership, then u obviously dont know basketball. same applies to football and the falcons. we have no vets meaning 5 and 6 years and above. we dont have that voice, except for keith and lawyer right now. continuing to draft players would just make matters worse..we are already young as it is, a couple of veterans can only HELP this team, not hurt like a inexperienced rookie. GritsPittz
I would give a 4th for him, though we really do not need to be trading picks at this point.

Purpin
I honestly don't think he's worth a 3rd rounder. Unless they back off that a bit, they won't get him traded.
tonegully
Gonzo would be a good addition but we dont really need hiim. If we are going to make a move.lets make move to help out our secondary. We dont even use the TEs we have. Maybe we need to give our own TEs a shot first before trying the trade waters.
crankdatfalcon
You kill me not knowing that drafted players get a year older every year.ok, but if we are in a win now mode next year, why the heck are we worried about drafting more rookies when THE MAJORITY OF OUR TEAM IS ALREADY YOUNG..why draft someone in the 2nd round, whos gonna ride the bench, and getting paid some big bucks to do it??we need experience, not more rookies who are looking to come in and be a starter. FalconFanForLife
Every year great players become available, but that doesn't meant they fit every team. Why would we want a TE like him when we primarily use our TE to block in the run game? We have more pressing needs on our team than TE IMHO. He is a good player still but, he is in the later years of his football career.Like I said....still a good player but, he is in no way still in his prime. McMVP
He wants to go to a contenderAnd just what defines a contender after week 6?The Redskins beat Dallas and Philly on the road and then lose at home to a bottom 3 team.I think he just wants a real chance - which he doesn't have in KC right now
Warrior999
I hope the Falcons are showing interest in him. We could use Tony. The more pub Roddy gets for being a very good WR and more teams see him on film. He is going to start seeing more double teams. Ryan will need other targets to throw too. Who else can he rely on? The WR core has been inconsistent all year outside of Roddy. Get Tony and Ryan has another weapon to throw too.
.CharlestonChad.
You don't really think we'd give up a 3rd rounder for a player that will be over the hill by the time we're ready to contend? We are a playoff contender this season, with our youth, we could be a superbowl contender next season. In case some of you have missed the 1st six games, the whole "rebuilding takes time" concept is a myth. We have rookies in the 3 most important positions on a team, and all three are playing like starters for playoff teams. Watching the team storm the field like a highschool football game just shows us fans that our team has really gelled. With that said, bring in TG!!!!!! We can afford a 3rd round pick for him. Dude has never seen a playoff win, so you know he's got a fire burning inside. At the worst, he does a Joe Horn and simply teaches our TE's how to block downfield and get open in the redzone. I am probably missing some others as well. My point is that we have way more than 2 Vets on this team. Thats just ridiculous.
