Remarkable
No. That play was different then someone who taps his toes on the sideline and falls down and has to keep possession of the ball. Roddy caught the ball in bounces with possession and took 2 steps and then went out of bounces. At that moment the play is over. What happenes after that does not matter. We got hosed on that call just like Brian Billick said.Roddy was falling down. If that happened in bounds and a Panther recovered you'd be saying the correct call was made. I notice a lot of Falcon fans who spend way too much time crying about the refs.
DeathFromAbove
For far too long any 50/50 calls have gone against the Falcons, it's like the refs just don't expect us to perform that well?Too many @#!@ refs do not seem to understand the concept that you are only supposed to overturn calls where there is INDISPUTABLE visual evidence that the call made on the field was incorrect! Jimusmc
The ref made the correct call. Dumb rule, but it is the rule. No, he caught ball stepped twice in bounds, knee hit out of bounds (PLAY OVER) THEN his elbow hit ground and ball came out.the refs love to screw us over
clownorg
He was falling to the ground and dropped it. That call would be made every time by every officiating crew.Which would have made it a fumble and not an incomplete. He had possession took 2 complete steps, went out of bounds and dropped the ball.To me That's a Complete pass and a fumble out of bounds

bigmildog
I don't remember a season where the officiating has ever been this terrible. In every game I watch I see a couple of blown calls. I can't really complain about it too much because I don't really have a solution. I think that it is a growing problem in the league and has to be fixed ASAP. Perhaps it is because of the availabiltiy of Instant Replay to back up wrong calls but it needs to be fixed.

I think the NFL needs to hire full-time officials and put them through a vigorous training program to get their bodies and minds trained properly. It ain't like the NFL doesn't have the money to pay for this.
bronn83
Oh my God.When you think about all the times that the officials rule "No catch" after a guy runs halfway to the sideline...and then they rule THAT a catch and fumble. I just don't get how this rule works.
Falconsfan567
You would think we would all be used to constantly getting jobbed by the refs after 43 years but it always pisses me off.You can bet your sweet *** if that were the Cowboys it would have been an incomplete pass. Falconsfan567
UN****INGBELIEVEABLE!!!!They took wins away from us against the Eagles and Broncos and now are doing their best to try to take this game away from us.
bronn83
Well, a win is a win. This game wouldn't have been very exciting at all if they don't create fumbles by Finneran and Turner.
Falconsfan567
It was too exciting for my liking. I was too upset to eat anything even though I'm starving.

jidady
I'm livid about the officiating today. That was tragic. How many times can one crew spit the bit?
Remarkable
You guys got something to complain about today.
keithbrooking56
We've had something to complain about in the other games. This game was just another glaring example. Finneran never had possession yet "fumbles" the ball and Turner is on his BACK after the play is OVER and "fumbles". Laughable.
