My goal for this team was 8-8 and it looks like we're well on our way there...and possibly a wild card berth.

This game was truly a great win for the team and for the fans. It's hard to stop thinking about it...I'm sure we'll be talking about this one for a while, even through the bye week! It sucks though because the Falcons won't be playing this week. I enjoy looking forward to seeing how well these guys progress each game and it'll be strange watching someone other than the Falcons play, but the bye week couldn't have come at any better time. We've done the unexpected going 4-2 and now our players can get healed up and rested for another big game against Philly. Wow, imagine if we beat Philly! Whew. I don't know about you guys, but I'm even more confident that we can upset the Eagles now! This is exactly how I envisioned this team to play, as a unit. It was an overall team effort out there and that always produces a positive outcome.

Now that that's out of the way, we must improve on our pass defense and the pass rush if we want to present any opportunity at beating Philly. Although the defense played exceptionally well today making some plays, we have to keep improving on minimizing those big plays when we have the lead. The defense gave up too many big gains near the end of the game. Our defense is key from now on and I'm sure Smitty and Co. have realized this and is already making the preparations that will help improve our coverage.

The Philly game will definately test us, but the way that we're playing, I really don't see why we can't beat anybody!

Oh, did I mention the Saints are playing the Panthers this week?
