CrimsonKat
Pretty much what I expected with the Coaches' Poll. Alabama was #4 in this poll going into this week, so not a stretch to see them jumped by Texas.

robbyb03
Once again, how the heck is USC 4? WTF?!They beat a top 10 team in Ohio State. They beat a top 30 team in Oregon. They lost on the road to a pretty good Oregon State team. Who behind them deserves to be ahead of them???

Headshot
Once again, how the heck is USC 4? WTF?!Because they've been the premier team in college football this decade. One slip up on the road is not going to be a death sentence for them.
slamee101
Because they've been the premier team in college football this decade. One slip up on the road is not going to be a death sentence for them. Why have they been the premier program though? They certainly don't win SO many more championships or make it to the BCS title game so much more than other teams. My thing is they're there essentially b/c they're SC. They're quality win is OSU? Yet they can leapfrog an undefeated OK. state that went on the road to beat a team that folks were claiming was going to become #1 after the OU loss and who everyone expected to roll at home yesterday? That's garbage.

One slip up on the road is not going to be a death sentence for them.Of course, why didn't I think of that. USC gets the benifit of the doubt and gets to lose a road game against a bad team every year without getting punished. I mean what do they have 5 or 6 BCS titles this decade? Oh wait, they only have one?

dan9124
This is bull....I was ok with the polls until now since it was early in the season, but there is no reason USC should be ranked #4. I'm not saying this as a UGA fan either. I know UGA isn't that great so far, but UF and OK State deserve to be ahead of USC

However to get back to the polls no worries frankly. When the BCS comes out UGA will be a top 7 team at the very least and if they keep winning everything will work itself out. freakyfalcon
You have to also realize, USC is also playing in the 2nd largest media market in the country where there is no NFL team to compete with. Its sickening the media bias they are receiving though.

I mean, that's like us getting a ton of credit for beating ASU at this stage.Your record since '01 has nothing to do with the team you have right now that lost to a 3 loss team this season. You have a good team, but to be above some of the teams you are above makes no sense whatsoever. You think I'm saying this with Georgia bias...I'm not. Our best win at this stage is South Carolina...so us jumping higher than we are would be silly. You guys beating OSU though shouldn't have you at #4 over Oklahoma State for example. You guys beating OSU though shouldn't have you at #4 over Oklahoma State for example.no its not, ASU wasnt ranked when you played them & they have lost 2 straight since then.. So what your saying is SOS is irrelevant right now so for example if somehow LSU falls out of the top 25 Florida has beaten no one??? So Ohio State could win out & finish #4, which would mean we beat #4, then if Oregon, Cal, ND etc all get ranked by the end of the year than USCs schedule was filled with ranked teams.. Cant agree with this thinking man but it would be sweat for my team if this was true.I feel you on the 2nd part, OK State cant jump from 17-4 overnight though man, they have to earn it a bit more because before this year they are unknown for the most part. A Florida, Georgia or USC for example should always get the vote if its a push.. I do agree with part of what u said though, we are ahead of Florida in one of the polls which is not correct. Floridas win was bigger than ours. I definitely think Oklahoma has no right to be anywhere near the top 5.

I mean, I don't even see how you justify that. As long as you get a pretender early and beat up on them you should get credit for the win...even though it turns out they're not that good? That just makes no sense to me. Sorry.

Clemson is a garbage team and Alabama has beaten one top 10 team in Georgia. Should Alabama get credited for beating an unranked team in Kentucky if UK wins out? No, they should get credited for what UK did before and after they played meaning that Alabama's strength of schedule would get stronger with a winning UK team.
