thanat0s
He was on Sportscenter and basically said there's no way he'll have much success against the Bears. I wonder if MT knows that, or if Emmitt conveniently waited to say it at a time when Turner wouldn't have been watching...

Play action and screen passes should be the order of the day. We need to turn an agressive run blitz into an advantage. Emmitt should sit instead. We need to turn an agressive run blitz into an advantage. Emmitt should sit instead. Ironically, he was sitting down. I'm getting sick of people saying how great their run D is. If it was so great, they wouldn't have to blitz to stop the run. From where I sit, they are just covering for a weak run D game. If we were the ones doing it, that would be exactly what the pundits would say, and they knowit...

Anyone with a brain know the Bears focus is stopping Turner, you went way over the top with the "should sit out" comment. He was stating the obvious, that the Bears won't let Turner kill them, it's not hate, it's just a HOF RB who knows what's up. As fans we have watched enough football to know that will be their focus as well. People are way too emotional.
bigmildog
Emmit should have sat out those years he was with the Cardinals.
falconfansince66
Hopefully Ryan throws a TD on the first offensive play and loosens up the Bears' D. Then maybe Turner can start collecting some yardage and set up some good play action.

Turner will play, but if the Bears stop him EARLY AND OFTEN and the Bears start to pile on the points and have a 24-3 lead at halftime, the Falcons should consider giving Ovie and Norwood more second half carries.Exposing Turner to cheap shots in a blowout could jeopardize the season, and thus Matt Ryan's best friend on offense being absent due to injury may compromise Ryan's development.Turner is the most important offensive player on the Falcons...right now
CollegePark4life
Its coming back on now!!!!I can't believe a past RB would say such things
Falconsfan567
First play of the game needs to be a pass like it was against the Packers to let me know that we aren't afraid to let Matty win a game.
thanat0s
I'm kind of shocked that people look at the Bears with fear. Afraid Turner will get injured? C'mon people. It's not like we're playing the 85 Bears here. This team has lost to the same 2 teams we have. We have the same record, and despite his being able to beat up on Detroit passing the ball, are people actually buying into this idea that Orton is some kind of Obama-esque savior who'll lead the Bears to glory? We have played well overall this year. We've dominated at home. I'm not one bit afraid to go nose to nose with them. I'm not intimidated, either. As far as I'm concerned, if they think they can dominate us, then walk out on that field later and prove it to me. Otherwise, they are just another team who is 3-2, and we have the advantage...
