I am very glad many here learned from giving up on Roddy too quickly, but there are some that will never learn. I've not been posting much with all the player hating but continue to scan the boards and see all these posts about Anderson being a bust.

The refreshing thing I've noticed is it seems to be only a handful of kids here on the bloards that are attacking the young, developing players. I suppose every fanbase has some young kids that think they understand this game better than the coaches and act like little impatient azzoles all the time .

I think the issue is really the kids use of the term "bust". I don;t think they even know what it really means in the context of NFL football.

Its actually very few posters that defend Anderson anymore.

So you suggest by not calling im a bust that someone is defending him? Interesing spin if nothing ese.

Or perhaps your point applies to Roddy , when few defended him and therefore everyone was right to call him a bust?

please do explain

My position is he's not generating the pass rush we would like at this point which is very dissapointing, but he is playing the run well, has been getting in the backfield muich more this year on passing downs but I don;t call players busts in their second seasons that are still developing as I refused to call Roddy a bust.

Would you like some kind of award for not using the word bust? Because we can do this. I can go and have a " I don't use the term bust" trophy made for you. Wouldn't that be exciting? I bet you'd treasure it, and spit shine it every day.

There is a big difference between a DE being the #8 pick and a WR being the #27 pick. Receivers always take about until their 3 year before they make a huge impact. DE's on the other hand are expected to come in and make an impact right away.

How in the **** can anyone defend the guy not getting a sack by accident? You would think in 21 games the OT would fall down or just flatout miss a block and leave JA98 a clear path to the QB. But has that happened? No. Hmm. Funny considering how TE's are even dominating JA98.

Im proud of babs,he has really become a good dtackle after starting out slow.

yep....Babs is having a breakout year if he keeps up playing like this. He's taken some time to develop, and even got to play a lot with all of Coleman's injuries, but he's starting to look really good.

Babs could be a LDE if you get down to it.Left is supposed to be a bigger end that can move inside the tackle to.

I dont understand why your considered some moron if you have hope for him to improve?

Big Duke, it's just a bunch of teenagers trying to convince the world they got all the answers. They have no sense whatsover.

I have been watching NFL for 40 years, and i've picked up on a few trends along the way. Develpoing players can sometimes take a while to blossom. Sometimes they never do, and sometimes they do, but the teenagers have no perspective on this. They learned nothing form the Roddy White bust wagon becuase they were still in their cradles when Roddyt was struggling.

I have no idea what Andersons fate will be, he may imporve he may not, only a little more time will tell.

JA98 looks like the next coming of Aundrey Bruce. That's not good company. :(

" only a little more time will tell" How long is that? Since you have 40 years of experience, you should be the expert on that? Or is it the three year mantra?

Once the guy is on the team its the fan who keeps the draft status as a guide.Jamaal would be given more slack if he was drafted in the 2nd.I think you are right about haveing time under your belt.I have seen a lot of guys come and go.Hype and promise,he has a opportunity.I dont get all the mocking though its like some morbid "I told you so".The facts are most players dont pan out.Go bck and look at past drafts. Its true over and over again.

You can't try and compare a defense end that was drafted in the top 10 to a wide receiver drafted at the end of the round. That's a huge difference between Anderson and White, along with the fact that White actually showed potential when he was bad his first two years. Anderson has shown nothing.

So stop. Just stop.
