Yes thanks for that link. That was very interesting to contemplate. I never really thought about how hectic that first year is for a rookie, but it makes sense the way Billick describes it.

Let's hope Matt Forte can hit the rookie wall this Sunday, and lets just keep all the calendars away from the Falcon complex so Ryan doesn't know what month it is.

Will that work?

That is why I think the Falcons have about as perfect a bye week as you get in the NFL. I just remember all those years gone by when the NFL would screw us and give us our bye in week 3 or 4 and how I just kept thinking how unfair that was. Because if you look at the history of the teams that have won the SB their bye week is always later in the season.

Playbook just came on. i think Billick is gonna talk about the Matt Ryan.He said he will talk about some of the impact rookies that will "hit the rookie wall".

Ryan threw 654 passes last college season. He MIGHT come within two hundred of that this season> I think he'll probably be fine. . .

;)

I don't think the issue is the arm getting tired as much as the grind of the longer season, the far more intense preperation, and the general toll that takes on your body physically and mentally. Kinda like how rookies in baseball get tired because the minor league seasons are shorter.
