Farmer (The 2nd)
Here is the Link to full articleHere are two pieces of interest, one obvious, and one not so obvious:The article is about future stars of each team:Atlanta: Matt Ryan. In retrospect, maybe Miami and St. Louis shouldn't have snubbed Ryan with the first two picks in this year's draft. With only four turnovers in his first five NFL starts, Ryan has shown poise beyond his years for the surprising Falcons (3-2).Denver: K Matt Prater. Prater's improved accuracy on field goals has made him more than a kickoff specialist. Prater has made nine of 10 field goals this season, including kicks of 56 and 55 yards in Denver's past two games.
TheEndzoneAnalyst
Prater will always be garbage IMO... Plus we have Elam who is 10 for 10!
bozoatl
Due props to Prater - I mean I couldn't kick FG's, but in all fairness, while the weather is warm in DEN, the ball goes pretty far.
formul8or
Prater just needed to work on his close range. We kept him because he had the distance down. I like Elam but Prater is cheaper and younger. ah well.

Falcons Ace
Four turnovers? 3 ints. What is the fourth?I guess they think he lost the fumble he had against Tampa Bay. It was a bad snap, he mishandled it, and then he quickly fell on it.

rvrndzombii
wow talking about prater is making me think....someone correct me if Im wrong here but......isnt this the first season in the last 3 years that on opening day we haven't had a kicker miss like 3 field goals?we had koenan miss 3 and then a year later on opening day we had prater miss some......GOD THAT WAS FRUSTRATINGside note: what ever happened to koenan (sorry for spelling) having a big leg? It seemed like he used to just crush the ball.....i mean he is still awesome.....maybe he is focusing more on accuracy because he is very accurateok.....thats the end of my stroll down memory lane

I think he has worked on his accuracy by a mile, and the added hangtime he puts in it (somewhat on expense of the distance) gives the ST, alot more time to get downfield. Im looking at his development with great interest, cause it keeps getting better. Think I only seen ½ a wobble thus far in the season, which is better than his previous seasons.Koenen looks solid atm.

The one thing I did notice is he still missed on a 20 to 29 yarder.
