IronHead34
Anyone ever realize our OC is named Mularkey? This guy should be running trick plays all the time.

I remember the toss play working in the Detroit Game, but then what didn't work in that game. Actually, I think the toss play could be Norwood's best play if that good blocking gets out and on the move.....

Big Duke 6
Why not put DJ in the slot and pass on a reverse pittsburgh style?
thamill
Why not put DJ in the slot and pass on a reverse pittsburgh style? They used to do that with Randle El right? They did it in the SB I think.
IronHead34
Why not put DJ in the slot and pass on a reverse pittsburgh style?Case in point. This thread has ascribed to Godwin's law. Good player threads will always lead to DJ.(Bad threads will always lead to Vick, and JA98)
Falcons Ace
DJ can't come in unless he's at QB, and he has to by rules stay in the game from there on out at that point.

bozoatl
He can change helmets. It's not about the helmet. He's listed as inactive for the game, and can only play as the emergency QB. Once he's in, he's it.

pzummo
Qbs can hold fieldgoal snaps and they can come at other positions.Kordell did it in pitt with guess who........3rd string QB's are not allowed to hold fieldgoal snaps. They can not come in at other positions UNLESS they are listed as part of the active roster. In which case, we can't activate one of the other players.P.S. Kordell was 1st string almost the entire time Mularkey was there. And than he was the backup for the rest, he was not 3rd string. Antwan Randle El was a QB in a past life, but has always been listed as a WR and part of the active roster.

I think we could see something like this if DJ moves into the backup QB spot (maybe if Redman leaves, gets injured, or DJ out-works him). If he's still at 3rd string, I wouldn't expect to see him on the active roster because of needed depth at other positions and special teamers. If Redman got injured or if DJ worked up the depthchart, I'm sure Mularkey could figure out a way to get him involved. Especially with him as the permanent placekick holder, fake field goals he could rollout with potential to run or throw for the first down. clownorg
Remeber the Flea flicker Play we used a few years ago on the 1st play from scrimage???Start the game with that. Complete or not, we go for a 40 yard or better pass on the very 1st play...Da Bears will have to respect the long ball for 60 minutes and allow our run game to open up
