Bartkowski
I remember that they just creamed him & he got right back up. I hope they don't nail Ryan like that, I'd like to return the favor by dropping Orton a time or two.
crumplin
Ryan will get rid of the ball quickly excpect for a few deep routes. He won't throw the ball more than 26 times
direwolf
What I remember about that hit was Chris Chandler (then with Chicago) running out on the field and screaming and cheering and slapping Urlacher on the helmet. It was pretty clear that he was really pleased to see his "replacement" get clobbered. And that after airing his dirty laundry in the media and making all sorts of comments about the Falcons that only went to show how bitter he was.You know, Chandler was pretty classy while he was here, but once he left he really turned into a jerk. Apparently that's how he was, though. You hear the same stories out of Houston when he was an Oiler.Direwolf

Get used to seeing and hearing class being displayed, it's a new NFL.

FalconFanSince1970
I remember that they just creamed him & he got right back up.Roosevelt Colvin. The Bucs, Eagles and a couple other teams as well. Ryan will have to take hits like that too. They hurt. And they cause injuries. Part of the game. He will be alright. If he gets hurt I am confident in Redman and I also think Shockley could get us some points.

The fact is the Colts and the Giants have consistently positive public images lately and that is what the NFL is going for, there will always be outliers when you're employing several thousand coaches/players/staff but in general the NFL is going for a much more fan/family friendly image, these guys are public figures and despite what people like Charles Barkley may think kids and people look up to these players, the fans are the one's ultimately responsible for the success of the NFL and any professional sports league, the NFL is doing the right thing in controlling the type of behavior the players exhibit. pzummo
Well, one thing that Matt Ryan has over YKW is that Matt Ryan can read, YKW never learned how... the blitz that is, YKW never learned how to read the blitz...

R.C. Collins
land what about plaxico...missing practice without notifying anyone. is that classy??i think not. What?Plaxico missed practice to deal with an emergency with his son which he didn't disclose because he wanted to keep it private. He served a suspension and paid a fine and didn't apologize for putting his son before football. That is class.

I never said anything about building a team with classy players. I just made a comment about Chris Chandler. And by the way, class has very little to do with play on the field. Derrick Brooks is an absolute monster on the field and one of the classiest guys in the world off it. Same with John Lynch, Peyton Manning, Jessie Tuggle, and on and on and on. It is no guarantee that a classy player will be great, but you know damned well that a classy, decent guy will NOT put the team at risk the way a scumbag will through his selfish behavior.Direwolf
