hakim24
We have a lot of veterans who are key to our success right now and a few who are still starters1. abraham2. Milloy3. Grady4. McClure5. BrookingI think we can all agree that all of these guys, although playing pretty well, are out of their primes. I believe that in two years (this year & next), we would have gotten all we can out of these players physically1. We have to address this in this year's draft or next year's. I like Orakpo, Johnson, or Hardy.2. I think that it is overlooked that we already have Thomas Decoud. If we do go safety I will have to be with a better prospect such as Mays or Moore.3. Vince Ogahbasse or Shaun Cody will be the perfect replacement for Grady 4. The guy from Cal I'm not sure of his name but I saw him play and was very impresse5. I don't really like the options at WLB out the draft, but Karlos Dansby will be available in free agency. The main concern is turning our young players now into solid players through these veterans.I believe that this draft will be mainly about solidifying the Defensive side of the ball. and next year's draft will be more so about putting weapons and playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. A-TowN.-
I would have to disagree with you. How can you say Abraham is out of his prime when it leads the NFL in sacks.I love Orakpo and Hardy. I love that we have DeCoud, he will be a start one day. I do like the Mays and Moore. I like the DT Vince. But there's no way we walk away from the draft with Orakpo, Mays, and Vince

He is the most stable out of the 5 but we won't get another good 3-5 years out of him. As for the young players, I believe that we could get 1 if not 2 of those players I mentioned. I believe that we could get Orakpo in the 1st as well as Vince in the early 2nd. I never said we could get all 3.

I never said we could get all 3.Michael Strahan retired at age 36.When Strahan was 29-30 he had 22.5 sacks setting an NFL record.30-31 = 11 sacks.31-32 = 18.5 sacks. 32-33 = 4 sacks. 33-34 = 11.5 sacks. 34-35= 3 sacks.35-36= 9 sacks.Abraham isn't even 30 yet. I'm not saying Abraham is Strahan, but I just poked a ton of holes in your little theory.
