I guess everyone else is GTAed out....this is a totally different game and I'm ready to have some fun with it. GTA was a little too serious for me. This game is going to be less polished but WAAAAYY more fun. It's going to have more of the spirit of San Andreas (Which I had more fun playing than GTAIV). It was fun for a while, and I'm guessing it has better gameplay mechanics than SR2 will have, but it was too much doom and gloom all the time for me. Apparently there's some pretty serious technical issues with it, but they had that in the last game and it was still a blast. I have been playing it for 8 hours total now and still havent touched the main story, im having to much fun with the Hitman and Chop Shop activities. It is what i wanted GTA IV to be. GTA IV was to serious and it seemed like you couldnt get away with anything unlike previous installments. Like i said now i am 12 hours in and have only done 3 missions. Also getting back to GTAIV my biggest problem was not being able to get away with anything. Instead of stealing a car (so the police wouldnt come) i ended up takinf taxis all over the place. I always went away from stealing a car because of the fear of being caught and busted. In Saints Row there can be 5 cops around and i wont hesitate to steal a car and run them all down because i know i will get away. In GTAIV you really couldnt even use the pay-n-spay most of the time because the cops would see you go in. It just took some of the fun out, i hope for the next one they tone down the seriousness and get back to what made GTA great in the first place. He was being chased by the Samari gang and was going up to women and dancing. It was so funny. I finally just taserd him and let the gang finish him off. Also their picture doesn't have to be on your hud for a crosshair symbol to show on your mini-map.yeah, the hitman missions are a ton easier in this one...I enjoyed them in the last game, so I'll probably be disappointed to be done with them so soon...how are you guys doing the missions? going after one gang at a time? doing all the gang missions at the same time? not doing missions at all? I'm going after the brotherhood and samedi right now so I can have all of the south island. then i'll worry about the yellow one, whatever it's called..flew a helicopter for the first time too...I really don't like the controls on it. The heli controls on GTAIV were much better I thought. It took a while to learn the GTA controls but once I did, I could have the thing zipping around in between buildings and under bridges no problem. The SR2 controls are a little more clunky I think. Haven't flown a plane yet though. I wish I could tell you guys what happens in this one mission but I don't want to be mr. spoiler...It's awesome though. Play the brotherhood missions. Yea I wasn't too fond of the helicopter controls...I'm sure it just takes some getting used to. As for the car controls it is a breath of fresh air. Even after beating GTAIV I was sliding around everywhere. The cornering in SR2 is tight. I find myself trying to accelerate by using the right trigger like in GTA from force of habit. Tried doing the downtown snatch missions today to get unlimited SMG ammo, but I can't beat level 6. Had no trouble 1-5 but 6 is impossible. My car gets shot to heII and blown up every minute. There's just too many people shooting, I have no idea how to go about beating it cause I'm not even coming close...On a positive note I did all the hitman lists and got unlimited rifle ammo. dan9124 Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 well, I've beaten the main story line and now don't have much to do in the game.....the activities have kind of gotten old for me. I've listed it on eBay to try and get $40 back. Sucks that I only liked it for about 2 weeks, I was really looking forward to this game and now it's over already...gonna buy Fallout 3 tomorrow to keep me busy.
