The Bears are ranked 4th in the league in run defense. It should be tough sledding for Turner. If that is the case I don't see Matt Ryan winning the game with is arm. Regardless it should be a good game. The Falcons are a much better team that most expected.

You know what - there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Everyone sees things differently. Take 1/2 cup of water - some people see a cup half full - some half empty. To each his own, both are right - but each has their own way of looking at things.

Personally, I try not to predict myself - just let the guys play - but I will never admit defeat and I always think they have a chance - so I will pull for them, win or lose. And I would never bet against them - because they might surprise you.

Lets see..... The Bears and Falcons average approx the same age...so youth shouldn't be a deciding factor in this game... and if it does....Chicago averages .2 years younger.

The Bears defense v/s your offense. The Atlanta defense v/s the Bear offense. The Bear special Teams v/s Atlanta special education.

Bear defense v/s Atlanta offense - The Bears are run stuffing machine coming into the game giving up only half of what their offense has rushed for. A whole 371 rushing yards. It will be important that Atlanta shows they are more than capable of moving the ball through the air. This will help open the run game against a very stingy run defense. Atlanta counters with White...White is 3rd in the league in receiving yards. He is quick and elusive...more than capable of beating double teams and due to the attention he draws from defenses....will start opening other receivers...or getting them better mismatches. The Bears counter White with Pro Bowlers Tillman, Vasher, and Mike Brown. They will be rotating Graham and Payne in and out of the game as well. Although young and some say untested...Graham led the team in tackles last week against Detroit.

The Bears d-line consists of a rotating squad of extremely quick linemen who gang tackle and flow to the ball. One thing about quick aggressive defenses....they also can be fooled my misdirection plays. When they try to flow to one side of the field...they can be caught flat footed against anything coming back the other way. The Bears make their living on collapsing the pocket and pressuring the qb. They will get their hands up and bat balls away and swipe at the qb's arm for fumbles.

Bears O v/s Atlanta defense - The Bears come into the game as good as any scoring offense in the league. Only 2 slots behind Atlanta high powered offense. They are lead by qb Kyle Orton....who seems to have had the lightbulb come on for him the last 2 games. He has thrown 7 td's and over 800 yards in his last 3 games. Atlanta counters with a secondary that although gives up some big plays...usually tightens up and looks for the turnovers. Although they have given up 9 td's passing on the year....they have also jumped on 5 int's. Orton has been known even this year, to throw some pretty w t f passes. He had better be careful with those this game...as Atlanta's secondary seems to share the wealth in int's.

The Bears receivers of...Davis, Booker, Lloyd, and Hester started th season as pretty much unknowns.. They have made names for themselves in pretty big fashion. Lloyd the circus freak catching passes behind his helmet in full stride... Hester catching 2 td passes already in tight coverage. Booker with a one armed bandi last week while being hit in the gut before the ball got there....and Davis. The only weak one in that bunch would be Davis who as the season began would lose concentration and try running before making the catch. If that wasn;t enough for the secondary of the Falcons to take care of....they now have three Tight ends who as most saw had one last week with a 52 yard catch. These Tight Ends are big...they are very fast...and they are as internal part of the Bear offense as their running Backs. Then you have Forte.... do not look at his yardage and be fooled. He is a very complete back. He blocks....he runs... and he receives th ball. In no small way does his yardage tell the story on this guy.

Atlanta counters with Abraham... Leads their team with 7 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Surely a player to be seriously reckoned with. If he were an interior defensive lineman....Atlantas defensive line would be a monster. He is not and they are not. The Bears will counter him with St Claire who has faced the likes of Freeney and Peppers without giving any ground. He will be aided by FB McKie and Forte on chips.

Bear special teams v/s Atlanta special ed

Atlanta boasts a perfect kicker. He has yet to miss a fg or extra point this season. Chicago counters "Good as gold" Gould who's only miss came on a 49 yard field goal try. Chicago throws Hester out there as a returner....someone teams take extra time out of their week to get ready for. Teams caught not taking this time...regret not taking that time. This season Hesters long return is 51 yards. He keeps the Bears in good field position and out from behind their 20 yard line. Atlanta counters with Norwood who's long this season is 54 yards. He is just as quick and elusive as Hester...but lacks the vision. He relies on great crushing blocks by his team mates and is a threat to take one home as quick as anyone. Blocked kicks are a rarity in these NFL days....but the Bears seem to just will it to happen any time they dial it up. From punt blocks to fg blocks. Atlanta on the other hand has a very large tendency to drop back into covrage before the kick has even been made. Chicago made the Iggles pay for this a few weeks ago with a fake punt...direct snap to rb Wolfe for a 31 yard scamper deep into Phily territory.

This game will have it's deciding factors as well... penalties, turnovers, and field position. The Bears play a field position game and will normally give the ball to the opposing offense...even if they win the coin toss... This allows their defense to get in the game....set the tone from the opposition 20 yard line....and get a quick 3 and out to put their offense in great field position. Penalties and turnovers will loom large.

Bears are a good team and their defense will be too much for the offense to handle.

I agree the Bears will win and have too much offense. The Bears may start out slow, but similar to the Bucs game, it will be a blowout. A physical game in which the Bears are able to neutralize Turner, make Ryan irrelevant throwing the ball. Elam will likely hit a few FGs, but the Falcons will have a difficult time breaking the plane of the goal line verus the Bears.

Turner is the best player in the league in yards after contact. Better than Jacobs, LT, Brown, Lewis, AP, Forte, ANYONE. Doesn't matter if you can tackle well, Turner WILL find a way to get yards after contact.
