helmsman
I have heard around the leauge Johnson complaining about being pulled from last weeks game in the 3rd quarter and not being able to "warm-up" as he put it.He stated he needs 25-30 carries a game to REALLY get going. Last week he had only 13 carries. So do you think KC will listen to his complaints and run him at us all game long? And if they do, What will his impact be later in game when he hits that 20-25 carry mark?side not, Do you think Grady will be back in? Without his space-filling body I think this is even more of a factor..

celtiksage
He'll be a big factor. When he can't get anything going, he'll get pulled again this week and we'll crush KC.celtik
ebonymonk
except for the two long td runs.. they really didn't run it that well....they made plays though, lets give them credit. that's like saying take away Ryans 62 yard TD pass and all of Turners long runs vs. the Lions and then then saying Ryan didn't pass well or Turner didn't run well, it's about making plays and we gave them up. Beavo
Unless Big Gravy is playing I say he puts 100 yds on the defense
helmsman
Jonhson is appraoching 31 I believe, But he is more than capable of pounding the rock for 150+ yards any given sunday. I worry that if Grady isnt healthy enough to play Johnson will pound us up the gut or to the right and wear us out by the third quarter. 1989Fan
it amazes me how much credit this board gives oponents for stuff they did years ago.....LJ is a has been. He is behind a crappy OL, has no QB to spread the field, and he has NO heart. Once he got paid, he didnt care, much like that Alexander guy from Seattle. War Damn Eagle
Larry Johnson is a back that can be dangerous if he has a decent passing game to keep the defense honest. The key to stopping him it to get him to turn his shoulders. He IS NOT a side to side runner at all. He can't/won't block and if you stop him early he gets frustrated and gives up. He has NO heart and is a VERY selfish player, not a team player at all. If we use the same defensive game plan that TB used against us, it's a blowout. Honestly, I'd be more worried about Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe, and especially Tony Gonzalez. If Huard starts, Brooking is going to have a bad day trying to handle Gonzalez. The guy plays hard on every play and is still probowl caliber. On a side note, Herm said yesterday on the radio about Ryan, "he's a tough kid with a lot of talent, he took a lot of hits against Tampa and kept fighting, he's going to be a very good QB in this league." R.C. Collins
He is a player you always have to be aware of. He could have a huge day if we do not take him seriously. I hope he is not a factor but, it is definately possible.
BruceReville
34 carries for 96 yards and 0 TDs - 1 Reception for 12 Yards -- if he is able to get production against our team the whole defense needs to be shot. Not only is he doing miserable this year but he is being pulled during passing downs because the other backs or considered more versatile. - LINK
The_ATL
The Chiefs are possbily stating a very young and inexperienced QB this week. You can pretty much guarantee that LJ touches the rock 25-35 times this week. If he doesnt then Herman Edwards is crazy.
formul8or
Larry Johnson is done. He won't be a big threat anymore after his record breaking season. When you put that much on yourself in one season you are never the same again.KC made a huge mistake giving in to giving him a big contract. Now if for some reason that "has been with no heart" has a good game against us, that will make us look worse.

He is behind a crappy OL, has no QB to spread the field, and he has NO heart. Once he got paid, he didnt care, much like that Alexander guy from Seattle. These are my sentiments too. He's done and doesn't know it. Sure, we have to plan for him and not let him break it big. They aren't as capable as TB to convert all those 3rd and longs (5+ yards). And we're at home. I think after seeing a real D in TB, our OL will have a much better day and we'll jump to another 14+ point lead and LJ will be only a minor factor from that point on.I just think after seeing TB's defense and getting an early introduction to what a real D can do to your offense, our O will be thumping on all cylinders Sunday, both passing and rushing. I even expect to see Snelling activated with the - what appears to be - minor leg/foot injury to Turner. We'll see a lot of Norwood and Turner early (about 50-50 in carries) with a good blend of Ryan's arm, but as the game goes on, Snelling may see action and he will roll. I wouldn't expect more than 25 passing attempts this week. Of course, it's JMHO.celtik
falconfanjason
LJ is still a threat but we should be able to hold him to under 100.
chuck277
Stick a fork in him. LJ's a done... After breaking his leg last year, he's no longer got that burst of speed and he has to deal with crappy O-line and QB situations. I'd stack 8 in the box just in case so the other 3 can man-to-man TG, DBowe and the other scrub WR.
