Flowery Branch — Running back Michael Turner came away from Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay with a sore right ankle, but it’s something he doesn’t think is serious.

It’s one of those things you get rolled up into, and you’ve got to walk it off a little bit,” Turner said. “Just a little sore. Nothing major.”Head coach Mike Smith said Grady Jackson’s swollen knee had improved, after he was a surprise inactive Sunday. He is expected back in practice this week.

Cornerback Brent Grimes left the game in the second quarter for a couple of plays and was replaced by Domonique Foxworth.

“I got the wind knocked out of me a little bit,” Grimes said. “I had to take a couple of plays off.”

That's good news

I wonder if Foxworth will slowly be getting more playing time?

Our secondary needs to tighten up a little bit an maybe he can help with that.

Grimes has carried over his impressive showing from preseason, but I would not be upset in the least if Foxworth got the starting nod over Houston. He has been making a lot of mistakes out there.

I still think Houston can be a very good corner one day. He has all the necessary physical traits, but he's just not there yet mentally. There is a fine line that has to be met. You know a young guy can't get better without experience, but giving him playing time without having the experience can be a liability. It's the same issue that many on here are having with Anderson. But I think if Foxworth proves to be an upgrade over Houston, you have give him the starting nod and let Houston get playing time as the back-up.
