ATHENS - Georgia's home football game with Alabama in Athens on Saturday, Sept. 27, will be televised by ESPN according to an official announcement Monday by ESPN and the Southeastern Conference. Airtime is set for 7:45 p.m. ET.

This will be Georgia's first appearance on ESPN this season and 50th all time. Georgia's all-time record on ESPN is 25-23-1. Georgia's last game on ESPN was against Alabama last year in Tuscaloosa.

*** this means that if both bama and uga win this week college gameday will be in athens for the first time since 1998.

They'll probably run to some random division III game like they did last year...I'll believe it when I see it..

I agree. Once I see it with my own eyes then I will believe it. Glad I got my tickets cuz its going to be a heck of a game!! I'm getting to Athens on friday before the game for an alumni meeting and I will be on the lookout. Dr. Lou better not show up!!!

yeah same here.. they say they will head there if both uga/bama are undefeated, but not sure if they are being real.. they will be rooting for asu to win of course.

Last years game was great. I don't know what it was like watching it on TV, but being in Tuscalosa for the game was unbelievable. And this year is going to be even better.

Yeah I thought last year's game was great. You had some great defense, some outstanding offensive plays. The atmosphere was electric and you could get that from watching it on tv. It was a great game IMO. With the blackout this year I think it's going to be even better.
