kdkane79
Please let me know if there are any good/legit gambling websites that any of you have used recently. I know alot of them got shut down but I think there are still some around but I just don't remember them.THanksp.s. It is about the Falcons so please don't move this. There aren't sports people in the other forums.

DoesnotliveinAtlanta
I bet on Sports Select (Pro-line) every week up here in Canada... but I made it a rule a few years ago to never bet on a Falcons game, is always resulted in bad luck for me since I always think the Birds are going to win. agent45
http://www.sportsbetting.com/Never bet before, mostly because of money and that I've never been introduced to the rules. How is this to be interpreted into English, for example (from the above linked site)?09/14/08 207 Atlanta(Falcons) +255 +7 Over 38 16:05 ET 208 TampaBay(Buccaneers) -310 -7 Under 38 I mean, I know what a point spread is, and can guess that the over under 38 refers to points but don't know if that's per side or total for the game. I know, too, that you can bet on a win outright, or you can take the points, such as feeling like Tampa will win (which they won't) but feel like Atlanta can cover the spread to betting on that, "taking the points" I think. Maybe I'm just better off watching and enjoying the games rather than worrying about making money.

The number is your payout +255 means a $100 wager wins $355. Conversely -310 means you would have to wager $310 to make $410($100).The second +/- is the points spread which u said u understand.the over/under is a wager on total game score
agent45
Thank you, XL. That makes sense. I'll obviously do some more in depth reading before I feel like I'd be safe getting into this hobby!
XLDenali
unless it's a really early weak spread, moneylines are the only way to go in NFL games. the payouts aren't near as good, but i swear Vegas has the pointspreads down to an exact science. i usually only bet spreads in college, unless i see something real weak. I think they will smoke Wash, but then again it's just a educated guess! And the New York Giants are -8.5 against St. Louis. STL sucks, too, and NYG should smoke them. Guess we'll see.GO FALCONS!BTW, for the original poster, I use INTERTOPS, but they don't really have the best for NFL, as far as betting options go. Just been with them for a long time and they are not a fly by night operation. Here's their link: Intertops
