norwood or turner

Norwood is too injury prone to be able to withstand a season of 20+ carries a game.

Michael Turner is the bruising, grinding back who will get you 4-5 yards a carry (or 10) and Norwood is the guy who you bring in to hit a homerun.

Turner is like the #3 hitter in baseball, able to hit for average and power, and Norwood is like the clean-up guy. Mostly just expected to hit homers.

Norwood had 18 touches. Turner had 23 touches. That seems like a good split to me. I don't want us over-utilizing either one. Keep them both fresh throughout the entire season. We need them both to contribute, so it's best if we can continue to keep them pretty even in terms of number of touches per game.

Norwood is also one of my favorite players, and i actully think his game against the Lions was his best game to date. Although he didn't break for a huge gain, he was constantly dangerous. The past 2 years we have heard that Norwood will get increased playing time, and line him up in different positions, but we didn't see any of it at gameday, i love the fact that Smith and Mularkey already are utilizing him in those different positions.

Btw, what's up with his TD dance? That was hilarious.

What's the problem with Turner?

As long as he keeps producing like that there is absolutely no need give Norwood more carries. Of course, if things might not go the way we want it to be with Turner, Norwood is a great #2 option as well as Snelling, but things went very well versus the Lions so I think we should just stick with him for the time being.
