scarollna5
7-9... 2 games away from the playoffs last year. That puts 14 teams tied or worse than them in the NFL, but I guess we just beat the worst team in the world. They have a good QB and a great offense. Their defense is definitely suspect, but it isn't like we beat the Chiefs or the Dolphins here. It was a great win for the franchise and please don't blow it off and try to dismiss the Lions. Some experts picked the Lions to win that division this year... For those of you who do think it was a great win then good I am with you, but the others just relax the lions are a pretty decent team. That being said next week will be the real test for this team. Statz.
The Lions are awful. Did u see their defense yesterday? The worst tackling I've seen since the Jamal Lewis Vs. Browns a couple of years ago.
scarollna5
i guess the giants are bad too, they only beat the lions by one last year. Oh and minnesota is bad? I can keep going down the list man. One game doesn't define a team. 7-9 doesn't exactly make them awful. It makes them average. We beat an average team. You want to see awful? Watch the ravens, bengals, dolphins, chiefs, niners. There is a whole list...

bossFALCON™
they started off 6-2 last year, and did the same thing we did in our 05 and 06 seasons and just fell off. their D wasnt that great, but keeping their offense in check was a big accomplishment. scarollna5
it will get better tho, pretty sure Rudi doesn't know much of the playbook yet. Their defense didn't look great, but maybe our offense is that good? Im just saying they are not as bad as people try to make them seem. We stopped there offense and that is the key to beating the Lions. They just are not anywhere close to the worst team in the league like people want to think... Watch the ravens, bengals, dolphins, chiefs, niners. There is a whole list...Last year the Lions had Mike Martz the QB guru as thier Offensive Coordinator. Martz created the offense that helped the Lions win those games last year.Right now the Lions are going thru a transition, trying to become a running team, and we saw why: thier D is awful. Some of that may be because they went to the Tampa Cover 2, but that does not explain the shoddy tackling.Funny thing is? They drafted four WRs in the early to mid first round for what, four out of five drafts? They have two of those guys left, and now they want to become a running team. Wow. scarollna5
I did notice that little, "lets become a running team thing" haha. And who might they want to run with? Rudi... LOL... Give Kevin Smith a few games he will be pretty solid this year for them, but if I were the Lions I would throw throw throw.
john_winger
I have to admit I didn't know too much about the Lions but did remember Kitna absolutely tearing us up the last meeting. Add to that Rodgers and Johnson, who is a real talent, and I knew there would be a serious aerial attack, and they did put up a good fight.Allright, it was not a super bowl game, but it was a rookie QB start. Let us enjoy the victory, and Tuesday, the team looks forward and buckles down.
Rockford
Kitna threw all over us except for the pick, and the Lions' rushing attack is a joke.Kitna had almost exactly his average game from last year. And for most of that last year, he didn't have Calvin Johnson availiable.
