ATL--75!
Jamaal's career has to be salvaged... Five sacks is a minimal threshold, but for him to stay in Atlanta, he needs 10 in 2008..
XLDenali
10? yeah right, be realistic.

Explosive xero
technically he should have had 1/2 a sack last night
dirtybirdsdance
When you look at last seasons team, and our coaching staff, it amazes me how quick some or on the "bust" lable......
Tony Diesel
Towards the end of the game he was got very close several times..... granted they were double, sometimes triple teaming Abe. Abe aside, the other guys on the line are just as guilty. If they are going to give that much attention to Abe, the other guys have to do their job. falconfansince66
Move him to DT.Absolutely, I second that! JA98 was getting double AND triple teamed at DT yesterday and still helping to collapse the pocket on Kitna. He would have had two-three sacks if he wasn't being HELD by Detroit's OL. On one particular play, JA98 was grabbed around the neck, lariat-style and drug to the ground and no flags were thrown. Yesterday's referees were obviously some of the worst I've seen in a while. I like seeing JA98 at DT with Abe at right DE and Bierman at left DE. Bierman was close to getting a couple of sacks himself and plays like his pants are on fire. I will admit, I've been one that's called for JA's head on several occasions, but I watched the game again last night and slo-mo'd nearly everything to see who was doing what. JA did a good job but does need some work on his techniques a little bit. But I must say, I was impressed when I saw him line up at DT once and was triple-teamed and still pushing the pocket towards Kitna! I didn't think he had this in him! He's not got near the speed needed to play DE. His best plays were inside. Add in that he's better against the run than the pass and that he might actually bat balls down if he ever put his arms up and he would be much better at DT. He's just embarrassing himself at DE. XLDenali
there definitely was some blatent holding not being called yesterday. i saw one play where the tackle basically put Abraham in a sleeper hold and was choking him from behind. no flag. The_ATL
I've been very critical of Anderson in the past but he actually looked like a DE yesterday IMO.
Brewcrew
It's one game. Please wait until game 6 or so and let the coaches have a chance to do their job before you start with this bs.
Striker42
It's one game. Please wait until game 6 or so and let the coaches have a chance to do their job before you start with this bs.Why should we wait for coaches when one of the main problems many of us have with Anderson is his lack of athleticism? Coaches can't coach up speed and Anderson doesn't have the speed to be an edge rusher. I want him moved inside where his tools are better suited. No amount of coaching will make him physically capable of being a DE.

He's just embarrassing himself at DE.There were times that JA was pretty hog-tied trying to go outside. I also noticed that there were also some times when he got off the line/snap extremely well but he does need to work on his technique a bit. I noticed some great 'spin moves' that he has from the DT position. If he'd employ this and roll inside the OT's, I think he can step up as a DE. The guy is as strong as a ox though and if he can learn to utilize his strength with some good technique, he can be a really big threat on the DL. I think he should continue to get work at BOTH positions and see which way we should go with him but I was like you before watching the replays in slo-mo last night and saw a lot in him that you normally don't see because of the speed of the game and being focused on the football. there definitely was some blatent holding not being called yesterday. i saw one play where the tackle basically put Abraham in a sleeper hold and was choking him from behind. no flag.Absolutely and JA98 also had one of those choke holds applied to him as well on a play he could have just killed Kitna on but I think the refs were watching the waterboy or the cheerleaders. MarkTheBags
I don't worry about sack as much as putting pressure on the QB. The left end is suppose to stop the run first anyway. They need another right end when Abe goes for a breather.
kschreck
You proposed it in April 07 and over a year and a half later I still disagree.
