Defense must tighten up

That's a lot of points to allow and expect to Win the game. Other than Abraham we have no pass rush, and our Run-D looked really soft. I got tired of seeing our Safeties have to tackle the RB.

Our Secondary got tested hard today and did OK considering the height mismatches, but they got burned quite a bit.

The Defense came out on fire but seemed to burn out after the 1st Quarter. I hope this unit will improve and maintain consistency for the whole 60 minutes.

Penalties sucked, too.

That one penalty that was called in the endzone during the second quarter was bogus. The pass was several feet over CJ's head. Without that penalty, we held them to a FG on that series. Also, had Mike Smith decided to run out the clock at the end of the first half, DET doesn't even come close to scoring that TD. They would've had 20 seconds (at the most) to score from their own 30.

i was kind of wondering about the decision before the half, but i guess it didnt hurt too bad in the end.

also, detroit offense isnt exactly lame. their defense is their problem because the offense can put some points on the board.

Plus wasnt there an obvious nocall holding on Detroit right before first td? Looked like a horrible call from stands.

NewD coordinator, Rookie MLB, young secondary, going against some of the best receivers in the game- I'm OK with the effort- sure there are things to improve on- houston has to learn to turn his head, grimes has to time his leaps better, on the whole, not bad for a first game- if they're playing like this the 10th game of the season, yeah, that's a problem.

Plus the clock management at the end of half contributed to one TD.
