FAN_O_THE_ATL
Are the Falcon CB's going to face a tougher task all season that trying to match up with Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams? The Falcons starting CBs are tiny compared to those two monsters. I wouldn't be surprised to see alot of Chevis & Foxworthy due to their size. If the secondary can step up this game and contain the big targets, not only do I think they win, I think it will build confidence that will stay with them the rest of the year. Go Birds!! McMVP
No - the CB's toughest games will come against teams with good offensive lines that give their QB time to throw.I don't see the Lions being one of those teams.

The key is for Abe to play like he did in his first game with Atl. The game against the Panthers, where he just completely dominated the Panthers OL. Hopefully JA98 will have his breakout game and Biermann can open a few eyes. If we can rattle Kitna, he will make mistakes. That will take a ton of pressure off our young CB's. innovativefx
I don't think so... The receivers are both good - but Kitna is not a QB to fear.
Farmer (The 2nd)
I'd rather face an offense with great WR's than an offense with a solid O-line anyday of the week. I'm confident we can make Detroit one demisional, then we just pin our ears back and get after Kitna....then say a prayer once the ball is in the air. Abe is the only proven guy and he has his disappearing acts. Hopefully this year will be different than the last two...

Go Birds!!2 things come to mind:1 - The Defensive coaches will have a game plan. Plenty of help over the top for the CB's, as well as different stunts and packages to keep Kitna guessing.2 - Kitna has thrown 32 picks over his last 42 games.Don't throw in the towel just yet. I didnt realize that our WR's, outperformed theirs. And that was under Martz, who throws the ball 50 times a game. So I think they should be just as worried about our WR's as we are theirs. I like our OL and RB's, over theirs.
FalconFanForLife
Well no doubt this is a huge test for our young secondary. It will be great just to see em in live action against some top notch talent.

Trouble
cb`s are only as good as the pressure the d-line gets. lions wr`s will be useless as long as we smack kitna in the mouth a couple times or let grady fall on him

But in defense of Roddy and Jenkins, they had 4 different QB's, no running game, poor OL performance and more distractions than any team has ever had to go through.
