xFalconLord
I was in favor of getting Deltha O'Neal and releasing Irons (if we cant put him on the PS). Is he the odd man out or A. Harris?
Explosive xero
that may b the best solution irons is tough tho
innovativefx
Probably Irons. You don't pick up a CB to cut a S .
rugger8
It doesn't have to be secondary. It still could be Jennings.
Houstonator
Probably Irons. You don't pick up a CB to cut a S .Foxworth played safety for a while. But i think one of the cornerbacks will be gone, we have too many young cornerbacks. Foxworth will probably battle Grimes for the no.2 spot now or Hutchins for the nickel job. xFalconLord
i really dont think houston will move to the 4th spotAgreed. Houston is very good even without the picks to show for it last season. He sticks to guys like glue. He just needs to get comfortable enough to get his head on the QB to find the ball. Usually he just watches the WR the whole time and looks bad when the ball comes right by his head. I think that wont happen as much this year. g-dawg
It doesn't have to be secondary. It still could be Jennings.yeah, this is a pipe dream. When Thomas Brown went down this all but assured "mr. fair catch"(Jennings) of staying on the team - reason: because Falcons don't want to be "short" a punt returner and a kickoff returner.no way does jennings get cut now - unless Foxworth can return punts - kind of think of it, Foxworth is "fast" - did he ever return punts for Broncos? SLEVEN
grimes is the question mark.... i saw a lot of good things from houston last year and that was as a rookie i would imagine he has improved since than. grimes has looked so good in pre season but iv watched a lot of players stand out in pre season and than flop once the games started to count. i really like grimes but he has to prove himself with some good season play before i can fully feel comfortable with him

R.U.N.n.G.U.N.
there's no one on the team playing better than grimes, so you can forget about foxworth bumping him out of position. chevis jackson will have to go the 4th cb position. the rookie is the most likely scenario to lose his spot. Statick
I'm guessing Irons, since he's 3rd string and that Adams plays better at ST than he does.

If its a Wes Welker type, put Foxworth on him. If its a Joe Jurivicious type put Chevis on him. If its Harry Douglass, then Foxworth would cover him. If its Finneran/Jenkins put Chevis on him. See where im goin with that?Makes sense.

falconfanjason
Do you guys see Foxworth taking the field against the Lions? Do the Broncos use a cover 2 scheme? I'm just saying sometimes it takes some time to acclimate to a new playbook.

It wouldn't be the end of my world if he was cut. It sounds like Foxworth is "cross-trained," too. I expect to see him at FS some this year in passing situations. RyanFalconMan
I would like to see Foxworth come in as a nickel guy but mainly as a kick returner or punt returner at first til he gets the system down. Smith and Thomas are both looking for a new returner to get rid of Jennings. (Look for the link yourself). Why not get rid of Jennings and bring in Foxworth? We have 6 WR's right now on the roster, we only need 5 and we have 5 really good WR's too.
Return-of-the-Falcon
Im sticking with my prediction that foxworth was brought in because of Houston....I bet that the starting corners for week 3 will be grimes, foxworth, and jackson. Houston is good, but he doesnt really fit the new scheme we are going to run in ATL, he's a man 2 man press corner
vitaman
The HNIC has a good point. Houston may be viewed as the weakest link. He's an awesome physical specimen who's skills have a way to go in this particular scheme.
