g-dawg
Is it just me or is Steve Wyche the worst beat-writer in the NFL? He is always the last one to report a story and continually gets "out-scooped" by national media and other local medias.I am continually disappointed by him.......i think he's just plain lazy. aerosmith67
they didnt report the matt ryan and others in a car wreck until the following day after it happened..ajc sucks..That story was hardly news worthy, but the AJC does have its problems. One of the major problems is that there isn't any legit competition for the paper within the city.
Dominique is Manufique
still nothing...on ajc that is. quite strange.

Tandy
Its the AJC really. That rag is the worst in the country IMHO.I agree 100% - that paper is anti-sports in the ATL - they dog all of our sports team, report on the worst things they can find in any given situation and completely ignore any bright spots. I stopped my subscription long ago and I am always angry with myself when I stoop to reading an article in the sports section online - because it always makes me mad! g-dawg
Well then it's a happy day for you, because he's accepted a new gig with ESPN and is outta here soon. Ledbetter is our man. Our beat writer, that is.great, glad the lazy "sexy chocalate"(as Wyche is referred to by Steak Shapiro) is on his way out. He is still writing articles so he must not be "all the way out" yet.It seems like Ledbetter is kind of "negative". I find lots to be excited about regarding Falcons but Orlando seems to have a "ho hum" attitude about everything - i know the beat writer is not supposed to be a cheerleader but please err on the "positive side" - I don't think that is too much to ask..... bozoatl
It finally got to the AJC:http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/f...e_foxworth.htmlSteve Wyche, however, is reporting the retirement of Brett Favre from the Packers. He promises more details shortly
aerosmith67
It's likely this story wasn't reported because it's not even a done deal yet. The AJC is slow but unlike ESPN they're not ones to run with any hint of a story that may or may not be true!

The AJC is slow but unlike ESPN they're not ones to run with any hint of a story that may or may not be true!understand that "take" but that is really just an excuse - besides, even atlantafalcons.com had the story up before 7am. Denver Post had this last night as did one of the TV stations - even interviewed Foxworth himself stating that he was being traded "somewhere".......there was plenty "there" to do a story and cover themselves by saying the report was "unconfirmed".........AJC just lazy - don't excuse them aerosmith!!! aerosmith67
I'm not making excuses for the AJC, they just rarely run unconfirmed stories, which is fact. The AJC may not deserve very much respect but I know I appreciate that they sit on stories to get facts straight before publishing them. TeamPlayer1
[i]You think HE is lazy ???How about the entire sports dept. at the FISHWRAPPER.........................also known as the AJC ???They are beyond lazy.....................clueless....................inept.....................boring !!!!! Fishwrapper is an excellent use for the AJC, however I've requested a diminsion change for my birdcage. If they don't respond, perhaps they could print on thinner, softer paper stock.AJC online is a waste of pixels!
