Falcons and it's not even close. I guarantee any college player would give up their national championship to win a super bowl ring. The superbowl is the top prize in the game of football it means you were the best that football could offer for that year. Means your city is the best team in football at that time.

I looked for a long time for the Neither option, but I couldn't find one so I didn't vote, sorry.

EDIT: Oh nevermind, I thought you were asking which would be more likely this year.

Uh yeah, I hate the Bulldogs, so easy choice for me.

Actually only 1 National Championship - there were no National Champions declared prior to 1936 officially by the NCAA - all championships awarded from 1869-1935 were recognized by retrograding. 1927 the NCAA recognizes 5 national Champions by using the retrograde method only. Your 5 Retro-National Champions are:

Georgia - Notre Dame - Illinois - Texas A&M - Yale.

we have a share one in 46. i think we share it with overrated state or some other team, but 2 real ones and the other were like you said retro grade.

fyi - The Bulldogs have brought home two national championships in their storied history: a shared title in 1942 and a consensus national championship in 1980 (several polls recognized the Bulldogs as national champions in 1927, 1946, and 1968, as well). In addition to their 2 national championships, the Bulldogs have won 12 Southeastern Conference (SEC) championships, the most recent coming in 2005, boast two Heisman Trophy winners (Frank Sinkwich, 1942, and Herschel Walker, 1982), and hold the distinction of having three graduates become Super Bowl MVPs (Jake Scott, 1972, Terrell Davis, 1998, and Hines Ward, 2005).

Based on this - you could say 2 or 5.

I am a die-hard Georgia fan, but I had to go with the Falcons on this. I believe the Dawgs are more likely to reach it first, but I would give my right arm to see the Falcons bring the Lombardi home - they could use it to help carry it!

Yeah we won the last Williamson Poll in '46 - the only poll of the 18 that year - Notre Dame won the AP - NCF - Litckenhous - Billings Polls which were the major polls of that year - Army also won the Helms which was considered the other major poll of that year. 1942 would have been the more easily claimable championship as we did take the Litckenhous Poll which was one of the top polls - but Ohio State won the NCF, AP - and Wisconsin won the Helms.

Funny while doing research tonight - Did You Know The NCAA has 3 National Champions recognized in 2003? :o

who cares about the dogs. there not even an atlanta team so no comparision. if anything the comparision would be falcons or georgia tech, and ill take a superbowl win anyday, but i love my yellow jackets. everyone is one georgia sac right now because they are ranked #1, jus wait til they slowly but surely fall, and wait til tech beats the crap out of them. paul johnson aint playin this season. his sights are set on beating up some bulldogs.

the rep the state just like the falcons.

and tech wont do crap. paul johnson might be a good coach, but uga is gonna beat every team this year, with a tough game at UF and mayb LSU.
