We are flying "So Under" the radar

Not to even mention that we are in the NFC which gets no respect in the league. and in the South division which gets no respect in the conference, and we play Detroit, Oakland, and KC this season which aren't getting respect. So, that gives us 9 games that should we win shouldn't even throw up a red flag for the rest of the league. Conversely, should we somehow have a spectacular season we will only hear about how we're in a weak division, of a weak conference, and we haven't beaten anybody. I can't wait to sneak up and smack some teams in the mouth. Should be fun. My intent is to go into this season without expectations so I can come out of this season smiling either way. We are headed in the right direction and it feels great! GO FALCONS!

I look for us to sneak up on several teams and beat some others outright.

I am happy that we are picked to be a door mat.

It works in our favor and Coach Smith will use this as a huge motivational tool.

GO FALCONS

And I don't have any problem with that...let everyone start napping on us, and see what happens!

I'd rather be under the radar too, but hey, we're the Falcons. We're ALWAYS under the radar and prove we should be year in and year out. That said, I'm always optimistic, but older and wiser now. Trying to keep expectations in check this year. 6 wins would be a success, but I don't even see that. Do you know our defense is ranked last accoriding to the "experts"? Only one way to go I guess. But hey, stranger things have happened.

Here are the positives: Running game, special teams, decent depth at QB

Negatives: Offensive line (as usual), passing game, linebackers, DBs

The so called experts could at least do a little homework before being considerd "experts." I have seen and read alot of analyst speak about the Falcons based on the way the season went last year. Find me another team that could endure the season this team had and still have a winning season. I don't know about all of you but I feel like last year will provide motivation fot the #ss kickings we are getting ready to dish out this year!!!

Lets prove all the sorry Nfl so called analyst and Falcon Haters whos boss!!!!!

linebackers are probably our brightest spot on defense

Even submarines have radar so how low are we flying?

TILL ABOUT WEEK 8. THATS WHEN THE NEWS MEDIA WILL BE GIVING US A DIFFERENT SPIN.

WE'LL PROBABLY REACH WEEK 8 AROUND 4-4, MAYBE 5-3. THEY'LL ALL SEE US COMING AT

THIS JUNCTURE. GAMES WILL BECOME HARDER TO WIN. IF OUR INJURIES ARE MINIMAL AT THIS

POINT, WATCH OUT. 8-8 IS A REAL POSSIBILITY. LET THE BALL BOUNCE IN OUR FAVOR AND WE

COULD SEE ONE OR TWO MORE WINS. THE DROP SIDE IS, IF WE DO HAVE INJURIES IN VERY KEY

POSITIONS AT WEEK 8 ........ ALL BETS ARE OFF. WE MAY SLIDE THE OTHER WAY. -_-

This is key, I mean if you have the expectations of winning the South and making the playoffs right up front it's going to be a tough year. But I think that we have the potential to have some success albeit minor..

Based on what I've seen so far, I see us sneaking up, and being a Wild Card contender!!

As we entered the pre-season, this is where I had us. I enjoy the thought of being under the radar.

As a young team with a new coach I think it takes the pressure off of us. Some could say, but that's where we were this time last year. But the infrastructure is so different this year. We've got a solid group of NFL coaches this year (IMO), not a group of college coaches over their heads & out of position. We're not whirling out of the MV spin, as a team, players, or fans. Those that are left from last year have a sober understanding of life in the NFL that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Being under the radar will allow us to focus on the fundamentals we will need to cover each week. Both the coaches & young players will need time to grow & adjust to their positions.

I see this as a Blue Collar kinda team. In previous years there may have been some flash-&-dash about us. I see this group as a no-frills group of guys who are just gonna do their thing & pop you in the mouth. I think we're getting it from our new head coach down, thru his assistants, & to our imerging on the field leaders.

I can't tell if that post is serious or not, but I've read it about 10 times in a row. It's hilarious. In fact, I can't tell if most of you are serious. I love the Falcons but there is no way we will even come close to making the playoffs get real. If we have 6 wins I would be the happiest man alive.
