R.U.N.n.G.U.N.
I love what micheal turner brings to the falcons, but is he more of a finesse runner or a power runner. I have reason to believe after watching the preseason game that Snelling is a better short yards runner. Snelling actually runs over three four guys before touching the ground. I am starting to wish we'd have snelling as the two back and norwood for the third down situations. I think snelling can actually put up the numbers that turner produces, but punish the defense a little more.GO AHEAD. FLAME ON!!
g-dawg
Turner is the "bell-cow" and the bell-cow gets the ball on 3rd and 1...........besides, i think its very difficult for a RB who has not been in the game and gotten the necessary "warm-up" to come in during a crucial situation and make a play. Michael Turner is all "knees and shoulder pads" and will be great on short yardage situations.......

Norwood will not break many...............if any..............tackles. Strictly an open field runner.I love Snelling's punishing yet fluid style of running. He may end up the "Surprise Player of the Year" for us.
R.U.N.n.G.U.N.
true he is a bell cow, but snelling is a little more aggresive than turner is
Sixer
I can give $35M reasons why Turner will be the short yardage back. Earn that money......Burner!

delaigle
just a thought, what about Ovie on short yards?
R.U.N.n.G.U.N.
just a thought, what about Ovie on short yards?Turner, Snelling, and Ovie are all good options, but i think Snelling has a edge with the intensity he plays with on the short yardage situation. Ovie running ahead of him will only heighten that intensity.
RyanFalconMan
If anything, i would like to see jason snelling come in when the defense is tired in the third and forth quarter. Like the Cowboys did with Barber, Snelling can come in fresh with a full head of steam and rumble over the defense. Its a good problem to have when you can't decide who would be the short yardage guy. Just put them all out there on short yardage and let the defense figure out who is going to get the rock. IronHead34
Grady should get the short yard carries. (that was a joke people)

Electric Falcon
Grady should get the short yard carries. (that was a joke people)Joke or not, it would scare the heck outa some defenses, I mean somebody could get crushed or it could open options in the passing game. I'm for whatever works. Electric Falcon
he could be like the refrigerator for the chicago bears. He can't be called the refrigerator, so what could he be called for the Falcons? The Freezer? Seriously, this would be a good topic to post and hypothetically ask everyone what they would nickname grady if he were a short yardage RB. The Grady Bunch so to speak. Hey we could give new meaning to Home Field advantage, I mean think about this : "What if everyone around the endzones in the Georgia Dome held up home made pies, Grady would be unstoppable! I would be willing to reduce Norwood's carries, put him on Kick return, and increase Snelling's carries.Have we seen Norwood return any punts?
