EddieK
Hey guys...would like to get an opinion on how you would rate my draft. Standard NFL.com scoring and in a 12-team league. I'll list what round I got each player too.Rd(1) LT (had the 1st pick)(2) Reggie Wayne(3) Marshawn Lynch(4) Carson Palmer(5) Maurice Jones-Drew(6) Vernon Davis(7) Greg Jennings(8) Matt Hasselbeck(9) Lee Evans(10) Josh Brown(11) Bucs DST(12) L.J. Smith(13) Roddy White(14) Chris PerryI'll probably drop one of the RBs to get another TE. Opinions on the overall picks?
popcornplaya
You wasted an early pick on Davis. Unless you get Gates, Witten or Winslow, it's stupid to take a TE in the front end of the draft. It was also a waste of a pick to take the team defense and Kicker before the last 2 rounds of the draft, with the kicker being the last round pick. The #1 kicker down to the #25 kicker in the NFL last season had a scoring differential of 1.25 points per week. That's not going to kill you. Defense wasn't much better.I certainly wouldn't have taken or carried two TE's. You can pick up one in the TE bye week to fill hat roster spot, as it is now, drop LJ and pick up another WR or RB. I'm surprised you got Lynch in the 3rd round also. You must be playing with folks that know little about FF.How many players per position do you start? White and Wayne are your top 2 WR's that should start. I think Jennings is a bust.
UK Atl fan
Good Lord - Lynch in the 3rd???? Evans in the 9th and White in the 13th???I am amazed at that. A backfield of LT and Lynch should be dominating!I have the same draft philosophy as popcornplaya though, in as much as Kickers and DSTs should be drafted as low as possible and that 2 TEs are normally overkill. Save the extra positions for trying to find gems at WR and RB as they are your point scorers.Having said that, you are definately set at WR, (although Jennings isn't going to be anywhere near as productive as he was last season) and RB with Jones-Drew a player who will start in most leagues.Hasselback is a great QB who is about to have a terrible season. Little running game, no WRs and he hasn't played much (at all?) during the preseason. Carson Palmer could be decent, but with Rudi gone, Chad and TJ possibly injured, Henry suspended and an O-Line made of Swiss Cheese, he is in a bad position right now.Anyway, I really like the starting team. White, Wayne, and Evans will be active most weeks. Thanks for your thoughts.

I really didn't want to go RB in the 3rd, but people kept on drafting players from their favorite teams and he was just left there. Someone finally drafted Michael Turner in the 12th or 13th too.
