Ok. Serious topic here

This is a serious topic. I want to know why you all think republicans get busted molesting children and having child porn 50 times as much as democrats.

My theory: Religion causes people to be sexually held back, so they take their sexual frustrations out on the people less likely to fight back.

I understand that a lot of democrats have been involved in sexual scandals, but most of them are at least with consenting adults of the opposite sex. Cheating on a spouse is bad, but not anywhere near as bad as having sexual desires for a child. And these people are supposed to be the "moral heartbeat" of America?

why don't you just ask "what are wrong with politicians?" and show all the incidents from both sides. Or you could just say "Hey I want to bash republicans" and leave your current question the way it is. I'm not a republican, but questions like this just seem to have an agenda.

You said,"I want to know why you all think republicans get busted molesting children and having child porn 50 times as much as democrats."

Show me a report where republicans get busted 50 times more than democrats for molesting children or child porn. I didn't know they asked you your party affiliation when you get arrested?

This has nothing to do with religion. I guarantee you most of the people in those reports are not practicing Christians, Muslims, Catholics, Mormons etc... (ie: read Bible, Koran, pray, go to church, study Bible, Koran). People are people and they are going to do things like this. To assume that Republicans do this type of stuff more than other parties is narrow minded.

No, it's fact. All you have to do is google the info. You might find 10 dems (if that) accused, arrested, or convicted of this stuff. It's not about asking party affiliation upon arrest, these people I listed are actual party officials. I didn't post "Joe Schmoe" who happens to VOTE republican. I listed real REPUBLICANS.

WRT religion and sexual crimes, I think you have your cause and effect reversed, personally. IOW, I think people with proclivities for sexual sins seek refuge in religion (and are often the most vocal opponents of the same publicly). One of my biggest issues with the Roman Church's prohibition of married priests is that both homosexuals and pedophiles (for the record, I am NOT equating the two) seek refuge in the priesthood, figuring that an oath of celibacy will stop them from further sin. Of course, the desire is still there in either case, so you have priests getting caught in sexual relationships and, in the case of pedophiles, crimes against children.

Allowing the historic practice of married priests doesn't solve the problem, but it removes the notion that the priesthood is a higher calling and an oath of celibacy can be kept by one without a gift for celibacy. (Historical example: St. Peter, ironically the supposed "founder" of the Roman See, was married. St. Paul, ironically the supposed foundation for protestantism, was not).

FWIW.

First off, you have the incorrect assumption that ALL Republicans are Christian. That's obviously not true just looking at the reports you've posted.

And, even if some of these reports are of people who are Christian, it just goes to show you that there is NO ONE that is perfect. Christians make mistakes, Christians have temptations, Christians sometimes have deviancies that they struggle to overcome.

Alot of conservatives live in a small box they created for themselfes because they either lack intelligence or experience to deal with anything outside of such a small box. Everything outside this box is declared bad so they can happily go on living their small lifes. Not only do they feel attacked when you enter their box, they also feel threatened when you tell them that life outside of their box is great for alot of people. Acknowleding that would ultimately destroy everything they have in their life.

Not all conservatives think and act that way, but most do

Why are republicans so god **** angry? They just stay mad.

Also. Why all the Ronald Reagan circle-jerking? There has been 2 republican presidents post Reagan and all you hear them talk about in their conventions is obsessive knob gobbling over Reagan's corpse. It's like Bush 1 and 2 dont exist.

ROFL. Let me ask you, which do you see protesting more, democrats or republicans? If there ever was anger associated with one party, it would be the democratic party.

ROFL all you want. I dont even know what you're talking about with protesting. Both sides protest. You might want to be more specific with that. Republicans have turned "liberal" into a slur, and for a long long time their strategy has been to drum up hate between Americans. I think you're a great example of that. Your distain on this board for "liberals" is an unmanagable level of anger. It's just a weird, weird thing. I think it's funny that you, one who is insanely angry at people you dont know, are the one who responded to that in a manner of trying to laugh it off. Oh sweet irony.
