michaelgee
DJ looked great in that 45 second TD drive, the pass to Finn for teh TD was a great play by DJ and Finn.No INT's yet!
Vicious
Everybody kept trying to say he should do good with pressure in his face nonstop surrounded by scrubs. Amazing how much better he looks when he has more than a couple drives to get into a rhythm. That's the DJ I remember from back in the day. Bulldog1950
He should come out with some confidence in the second half now.
Bulldog1950
It is fitting that Finn caught the TD pass from DJ with all they went threw recovering
Josh Affonso
5-10, 66 yards. Calm down...I mean really good for him and all but personally I will wait 'til after the game before saying anything.
Vicious
Boy he sure did run a lot, huh? Now all of the Haters will play it off like it was a fluke. That drive showed us everything I said positive about Shockley. He starts out a little rusty until he gets in to a rhythm. Once he does then it's game time. Vicious
Please note, I'm not on a DJ should be the starter kick, but I am on an anti Harrington kick. Potential. DJ has it, Joey doesn't.

formul8or
Shock didn't do well until more and more of Baltimore's backups came in, if that's what it takes for him to get into rhythm. He has 10 seconds back there to throw.

formul8or
well theres nothing he can do he is just playing against whats in front of himHe had some of the 1st stringers in front of him in the beginning and couldn't do much of anything. Vicious
I think the coaches designing roll outs are helping out a bunch, as well.

innovativefx
I have to admit - he has played well.I think he is making the decision even tougher for Mike Smith.
Ross McKnight
He had some of the 1st stringers in front of him in the beginning and couldn't do much of anything.he is still making plays it may be against backups but he is still making plays much more than our other qb fighting for the 3rd string job
Striker42
DJ looks good. His throws are crisp, catchable, and on target. He's making good decisions. He might have 2 TDs but for the drop.
Vicious
He had some of the 1st stringers in front of him in the beginning and couldn't do much of anything. How do you expect someone who doesn't get a lot of reps in practice or in pre season games to start out like they've been the only one who got snaps through TC?? The rust is coming off and he's playing very well now. Two scoring drives so far.

They were very fair in splitting the QB's during TC, and all 3 times I went DJ looked easily like the worst of the 4.

That's the DJ I remember from back in the day.Vic, you gotta remmber that those of us who are not UGA Huggers haven't seen DJ play much at all. However, he looks pretty good tonight don't he.I'm thinking DJ may have won the job, if he can stay healthy and put some time in.I said several times that Hoey hasn't much upside/future. DJ is young and could play for a longer time. DJ's style is just different.
Vicious
He's playing like I remember from when he was a Dawg. I think Joey will make this decision a lot easier. He is his own worst enemy.
Cooter
I have to admit - he has played well.I think he is making the decision even tougher for Mike Smith.I agree. Shockley has played well in preseason. Will he make the team? I don't think so. I think they'll cut him loose. As popular as Shockley is, I think Harrington better fits the 3rd QB role. Remember the only play a 3rd QB has to execute is the Clipboard Keeper.
innovativefx
Yep - I have thought that all along... but watching right now - Shockley has potential to get better.Harrington - I think he has more than peaked.

Striker42
Shock's QB rating tonight was 96.72 I believe.

But that's just me.I totally agree. Also, Shockley MIGHT get the job based on his jersey sales alone. Not a knock on his skills, I'm just saying that DJ wins the popularity contest.I'm gambling my opinion that Harrington gets the #3QB based on the role of a #3QB. I think Harrington can help Ryan more on the sidelines than Shockley. Statistically, it's a very rare occurance that #3 QB EVER takes a snap in a regular game.
