direwolf
Don't know if this was posted, but it looks like we're about to sign Marcus Pollard. Saw in the blog section of Falcons Life. Below is a link to the story.Linky dinkThis should give Ryan another target in the passing game. Hopefully we'll get a bit of mileage out of him.Direwolf

dirty bird 025
that would be awesome if he signed w/ em. He went to Bradley University and I work as a groundskeeper there, that would be cool if he stopped by campus someitme.
sporkdevil
We should cut him. I'm not impressed if we sign him. If he is dirty cheap, lets see what he has preseason, but I don't think we really need him. Let's sign him DT's or offensive lineman. How many TE's do we need? One from last year, a draft pick, and a FA guy. Seems like enough.

SiViK_OuTkAsT™
They know what they're doing. That's what I said. At this point, it is all in TD and Coach's hands, not mine. It is that way for a reason, look how many people are surprised already.
doubletrouble21
Let me refer back to Gazoo's post:Repeat after me "I do not know as much about personnel as Tom Dimitroff does" ... I like any signing the Falcons make.. I'll support it until I have an obvious reason not to.. for now, Welcome Pollard..

I also had a friend go to Bradley. As for Pollard, when I was looking through his stats I was pleasantly surprised that he's had four 40-catch seasons in the past seven years. durrdbyrd
It's a nice move. I don't think Pollard is coming in to make a Pro Bowl for us but I think if he can give us some of his Indianapolis numbers, that would be excellent. I like where TD and Smith's heads are at though. Looks like they're really trying to put forth a good effort to win THIS season. Not 5 years from now as some people think.

Mr. Offseason
Ughhh....Pollard looks done. Maybe he can give us something.so we released alge to sign an older TE who's only value is as a receiver? i was on board with the move we made because i was under the impression the TE wasnt going to be as heavily utilized. but this looks like we are recognizing a mistake and adding the best receiving TE available, and its not a good one...hopefully he surprises us but im not holding my breath. KRUNKuno
i like this move just for tha fact that im not confident in our tight ends yet. i even feel like we should get a tight end early in next year's draft. Pollard would give us a veteran presence at that position; somebody familiar with reading defenses. not sure about his blocking aspects tho, but a solid pickup either way imb.
