doubletrouble21
I'm almost sure that Matt Ryan will be starting week 1 against Detroit.. but how long do you think it will be before we know if he is starting or not? When will they name the starter? Do you guys think it will be before the Baltimore game or after? I kind of wish they would come out and tell us already.. Redman likely won't even be playing against Baltimore because it will be DJs and Joeys game.. so they should probably say it before.. GET IT OVER WIth.. anticipating Turners signing was hard enough.. -_-

falconfoozball
Man, all I can say is O'Sullivan earned that honor for them. I watched him play the other night, and can't say that I remember his name associated w/them before this year, but he absolutely DID impress. I'd have to say the same for Ryan, and even though I'm not sure it's the best move, I think he'll end up being our starter.
durrdbyrd
Matt Ryan will without question be named the starter before they touch down in Baltimore. Even John Clayton acknowledged that fact on "The Huddle" on ESPN Radio earlier, and he's been saying the Falcons will wait on him for the longest time. I can't remember, but I think it was them, and their D was admittedly having a rough night. And who were they playing when he looked like trash? For what it's worth, actually it might not have been all that hard to beat out Alex Smith.

There is a reason he has been fired numerous times. Sully might be a QB, but Alex Smith's backup (forget his name) looked pretty good last year as well. Sullivan should not hit week 4 with him as a starter. But I would imagine we find out after the next game who starts. Or whoever. Redman and Ryan look pretty good.
