Our Qb situation doens't look all that bad. We have a rookie QB that can play very well, tonite wasn't a bad game for him. Then you have redman as well who proved himself last year, granted the record doesn't show it, but redman can put up the numbers. I think that Redman should start the season opener and have Ryan just read the defenses for a little bit and start midway through the season, i think we'll be sitting pretty in a couple years. Great WR core, running game, and our D.......phew, our D looked well tonite.

THANK YOU FOR A SENSIBLE POST. I have been screaming to start the better qb until the rookie surpasses him. I can see the intelligence that he has, but he's not quite up to speed yet. I thought he played like a scared man instead of the gunslinger he's known to be.

They specificly said they told him to only take three and five step drops and check down in this game. So how does that prove he is 'scared'?

Agree Rockford - it actually shows that he is an intelligent QB and able to make quick reads and accurate throws!

Ryan looked AWESOME.

\Regardless of what someone wants to say about worshipping long passes, the bread and butter of a QB is the short to midrange passing game. Get that good, then pepper in long passes, and you can be pretty good. DO it the other direction and you are. .what. . .Rex Grossman? The shoret to midrange passing game is what brings your consistency.
