FaIconfansince80
Yes. I think he has good pocket presence and a knack for making a play on the fly. He should do well.
durrdbyrd
I think he can..but I'm not going to have very high expectations just because you never know with a rookie. I think the future is very bright for that kid though.

Falcon Freddie
If Ryan does wow everyone, there are going to be a lot of embarrassed sportswriters and others.Or maybe not . . . by the end of the season they'll just maintain they had complete confidence in Matt all along. ol'_dirty2
If he gets it done in the film room and doesn't lead the league in INT's he look back over his season and see it as successful. If the run is strong, play action will be huge and Roddy is looking to prove last year was no fluke.
formul8or
I am/was one of Ryan's biggest doubters, but after observing his dedication and his practices and his preseason game I think he can do pretty well this year. He is growing up fast.
mascot2002
If the line holds up well enough he will do just fine I believe.
Norwood'sblur
big ben went 14-1 his rookie season..matt is more intelligent but with less talent around him...i say it would not surprise me if he led us to 8 or 9 wins and had a few memorable comebacks along the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOME EQUATE SUCCESS WITHSUPER BOWL., OTHERS WITH HOW MANY TOUCHDOWNS DID HE THROW, OTHERS WITH HISPASSING PERCENTAGE, THEN YOU HAVE SOME THAT WILL INCLUDE EVERY CATEGORYTHERE IS FOR A QB. I'M JUST LOOKING FOR THE KID TO MANAGE A GAME. STAY SMARTAND MINIMIZE TURNOVERS. THE KIDS GOING TO BE GOOD. BUT HE'S GOING TO DO ITTHROUGH THE NORMAL PROGRESSIONS. IN OTHER WORDS ...... LET HIM GO GRADE BYGRADE ..... DON'T SKIP HIM, I DON'T CARE HOW SMART HE IS. YOU CAN TALK ABOUTSUCCESS, BUT IN THE NFL SUCCESS IS JOINED AT THE HIP WITH FAILURE. HE'LL HAVE GOODGAMES, AND HE'LL HAVE BAD GAMES. THAT IS A LOT LIKE LIFE.
falconsfan1987
I thimk Matt will be fine as long as the OL can stand up, he is going to have Turner, White, Norwood, and a couple more good athletes around him.

FalconFanForLife
Well he has the receivers to get it done, and he is very lucky for that since our receivers have been horrible in past years when we had to depend largely on Crump for a passing game. I think Ryan's success will largely depend on our running game and line. If we can run the ball, then he will not have the defense teeing off on him constantly like they used to do when YKW ran our offense.Ryan's future depends on our O-line. TeamPlayer1
Fine post, Rev!QB in the NFL is a brutal position because your success is tied to the play of many, yet you bear the blame for failure. If you win, many get the credit, and rightly so.GO FALCONS!!!
