Yeah I don't get why people are complaining about this.

It's not like a 15 year old kid is pitching in a 12-year-old baseball tournament. 18, 19, and 20 year old females are losing to like 13 and 14 year olds  If you can't beat a 13 or 14 year old then you probably shouldn't be in the Olympics in the first place. Just my opinion.

1. I agree. The Chinese team being underage doesn't bother me too much. Alicia fell (twice!) and the other two US girls each stepped out of bounds during their floor routines. The Chinese team was simply better than us last night.

2. By your rationale it would seem none of the other Olympic gymnasts from any country belonged in the competition seeing as the 13 and 14 year olds WON the thing.

I'm guessing youth provides a distinct advantage in this particular sport seeing as you rarely have many Olympic participants older than 22 years of age. The majority seem to be in the 16-20 year range. I don't know what the specific advantage(s) would be be, but there must be a competitive reason teams are generally younger.

Get over it!! The fact that more experienced U.S women lost to a bunch of little kids is even more embarassing. So what if they were underage? i don't think there should be a age limit for any olympic events at all. And what is with the knock on China?? Media darlings??? Haha just because the Chinese have some better athletes and are obviously poised to win more gold than any other country, they are cheating?

Forgive me for posting my opinion (and some DATA) on a message board.

Oh, I almost forgot...
